Black Myth: Wukong getting DLC?

WITH Black Myth: WukongWith the release date now in the past, the question has shifted to whether it will receive DLC. The popular role-playing game was a huge success, selling over 10 million copies in its first few days. Although not at the level of something like Elden Ring, Wukong still stood on his own and made a name for himself.

Many of the reasons for this were due to the simple and fun gameplay mixed with Black Myth: WukongChallenging and memorable bosses. Character progression was simplified, with the exception of some secret equipment that was easy to keep track of. Although players were limited to one weapon, each of the three staff positions made combat unique. The bosses were varied and creative, resulting in unique fights that few other games can match.

When might Black Myth: Wukong be released?

New mythological adventures coming soon

According to Daniel Wu of Hero Games, a sponsor of developer Game Science, for Black Myth: Wukong at work. With that said, the only news regarding the release date of this rumored DLC comes from game consultant Daniel Camilo. He claims his sources point to Chinese New Year, 2025..

This timeline may seem a little premature, but if the DLC was in development before release, it might make sense. WITH Wukong more linear and closed than other role-playing games, it does not take as much time to develop. Additionally, given the revenue this game generated, it would have been impossible to increase staff and resources for faster production to maximize the potential.

As is the case with Shadow of Airdtree For Elden RingDLC for Wukong could be another huge title boost. A game like this that introduces new challenges, perhaps the best of the cut content, has a high chance of bringing players back. In the worst case scenario, it will likely still be sold in China, where most sales initially came from. It would be difficult to compare with a DLC like Shadow of Airdtree, but even being the same quality as the base game Black Myth: Wukong that would be amazing.

If the DLC could be nearly as successful for developer Game Science, it would be huge on two fronts. First, it continues the legacy of a simpler game that has found success in today’s market. Secondly, it can help the company implement any projects it wishes in the future. Either way, it will be interesting to see what DLC is planned. Black Myth: Wukong and when it comes out.
