Every season, several cast members are always accused of being producers or faking their poor performance at the behest of the powers that be. So it’s very possible that some editing work was done in post-production to make Emma’s sailor performance seem much worse than it actually was. However, Captain Glenn fired Emma, so the editing couldn’t have been too wrong.
