90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days Former student Chidi Ikpeamaeze's rocky relationship with Rayne Fernandez was highlighted in season 7, and it's time for an update on it. Chidi and Rayne were the first couple to have their storyline end in 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days Season 7, when they broke up and on a sour note. Chidi, who is from Lagos, Nigeria, is blind in both eyes. He is the franchise's first blind cast member. He didn't tell Rayne about his visual impairment for fear she would lose interest, but the opposite ended up happening.

Rayne, who has body awareness issues, was happy to learn that Chidi couldn't see because it made her more confident in her appearance. In Lagos, Chidi lives with his sister Victoria, her husband and children. Chidi's sister supports Chidi and is his number one caretaker. Chidi also does things independently. He is part of a football team for the visually impaired and has learned to cook some things himself. 90 Day FianceRayne went to Nigeria in Before 90 days 7th season later maintaining a five-year virtual relationship with Chidi. Rayne, who has two children, had very “out there” opinions about aliens and religion, and was sometimes very off-putting to Chidi before they met, especially in person. Chidi, who took a vow of celibacy without telling Rayne, told her that they could not sleep together after Rayne's arrival in Lagos, which made Rayne very upset because she claimed that Chidi alluded to them being sexual when she talked to him before meeting him.

Rayne was able to accept Chidi's celibacy, but things fell apart because of Rayne's bad feelings for Victoria. Rayne had a vision that she wouldn't get along with an important person's sister, and she made that premonition come true. During a family dinner, Rayne criticized Chidi for being breastfed by his sister and condemned his familial attachment.

Rayne left Victoria's house and wanted Chidi to go with her, but he didn't. After their final date, Rayne had another epic blowup at Chidi, with more talk about how damaging her sister was to their relationship. Rayne left Nigeria broken with Chidi and with a broken heart.

Chidi lost vision in one eye when an apple fell into his eye. He lost vision in his other eye after hitting the corner of a table after losing his balance because of his original impaired vision. While Rayne was in Nigeria, she paid for Chidi to see an ophthalmologist to determine the status of his vision, as he had not been to an optometrist in years. Chidi received bad news, like he had cataracts and glaucoma that would make correction nearly impossible.

However, Chidi is determined to get a second opinion outside Nigeria and has started a GoFundMe go to America to see a doctor and hopefully improve his vision.

“We recently learned about the exceptional doctors and advanced treatments available at a renowned Eye Specialist Institute in the United States. This center could provide Chidi with life-changing medical advice and potentially restore some of his vision, offering new possibilities for the future that he always dreamed of,” Victoria wrote about the GoFundMe's premise.

Rayne holds resentment

Chidi didn't talk about his disdain for Rayne after the show, but the same can't be said for Rayne. Rayne holds a lot of resentment and expresses her venom against Chidi. Rayne releases alleged text messages she received from Chidi and calls him a liar. Rayne is very resentful about how things ended, but has taken no responsibility for her volatility or the role she played in the downfall of their relationship.

Is Chidi dating anyone?

Chidi is still very religious and with that likely comes his continued vow of celibacy.

He is active on social media, where he shares a lot of religious content, and receives a lot of support from fans who think he was the victim in his relationship with Rayne. As for Chidi's future in 90 Day Fiance franchise, it will not appear in the Before 90 days Season 7 Say it. Unless he finds another American to continue his journey, Season 7 will be the end of the franchise's path for Chidi.
