An unsolved mystery of its predecessor has resurfaced in Beetle juice Beetle juice, and once again, no answer was apparent. Bioexorcist Betelgeuse (Michael Keaton) reprises his favorite role of haunting Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder). Only now she herself is the mother of anguished teenager Astrid (Jenna Ortega). The Deetzs family may have thought Betelgeuse was dead and buried at the end of the original 1988 film. Beetle juice film. Even though it appeared that Betelgeuse killed two dinner guests in the original film after he sent them flying through the ceiling, Beetlejuice 2 confirms that at least one of them actually survived. This raises questions about the fate of the influencers Betelegeuse trapped on their own phones at his second wedding to Lydia.

Betelgeuse wasn’t the only character to torment the Deetzs. Charles Deetz’s boss, Maxie Dean, hoped to turn the entire town of Winter River into a tourist trap for supernatural delights. Fittingly, he met a supernatural ending when he and his wife Sarah flew through the roof of the Deetzs’ living room., thanks to Betelgeuse. Their deaths have been in the air for the last 36 years, until Beetlejuice 2 confirmed that this original character survived. During Charles’ funeral, a grieving Delia mentions that expects Maxie Dean to attend her husband’s funeral, which means he survived the trip through the roof of the Deetz.
Following the logic of Beetlejuice 2 revealing Maxie Dean’s fate, it could take until Beetlejuice 3 to find out if the 20-somethings also survived.

The joke’s on him when Betelgeuse kidnaps the nuptials and the bride for himself. He also has all the social media stars swallowed by their own phones. Following the logic of Beetlejuice 2 revealing Maxie Dean’s fate, it could take until Beetlejuice 3 to find out if the 20-somethings also survived.

Despite all the gothic chaos in the first Beetle juice film, only Barbara and Adam (the ghosts that haunt Deetz) actually die. The death toll rose dramatically in the sequel, starting with Charles’ death in the opening. His wife follows him shortly after when a poisonous snake bites her. Even characters who were already dead were killed. Danny Devito made a cameo as a janitor in Nemworld, who had his soul sucked out by the demonic Delores (Monica Bellucci). We even see her death on screen in a flashback where Betelgeuse kills her right after the wedding.
Among the most memorable deaths Beetle juice Beetle juice belong to bad lovers. Rory was eaten alive by a giant Sandworm with Delores. But the evil twist of Astrid’s love interest Jeremy, actually a serial killer ghost who wants to exchange her life for his, made her death all the more sweet. Considering that the rules of the afterlife are a bit murky in Beetle juice world, it wouldn’t be surprising if any of the “dead“The characters come back to life in some form in the future. After all, that’s Betelgeuse’s specialty.
