The release date for Based on a true story Season 2 has been revealed, along with some photos. Debuting in June on Peacock, the dark comedy focuses on Ava (Kaley Cuoco) and Nathan Bartlett (Chris Messina), a regular couple who are drawn into a gruesome murder, which leads to the duo’s true crime interests. The premise generated buzz for Peacock, leading to a renewal for Based on a true story Season 2.
Peacock has now released the first teaser trailer for Based on a true story Season 2 confirms that All eight episodes of the second installment will be released on November 21.

Ava, in particular, tries to return to her job as a real estate agent. Even though things initially seem promising for the couple, including a new friend for Ava, it’s not long before trouble breaks out again, and hopes are dashed after the Based on a true story Season 1 ending. Along with Cuoco and Messina, who also executive produce, the cast of Based on a true story Season 2 includes Tom Bateman and Liana Liberato as series regulars. Melissa Fumero, known for her role as Amy in the comedy Brooklyn no-noJoins as Ava’s new friend Drew. Behind the camera, Amy Wiseman takes over as showrunner from creator Craig Rosenberg. He remains an executive producer while pursuing other projects.
The reception for Based on a true story was generally positive, though not glowing, with praise given to the performances of Cuoco and Messina.
