Danger will not be far behind.

The upcoming eight-episode season will see the couple attempt to move on from their experiences with true crime and raise their newborn. Ava, in particular, tries to return to her job as a real estate agent. Even though things initially seem promising for the couple, including a new friend for Ava, it’s not long before trouble breaks out again, and hopes are dashed after the Based on a true story Season 1 ending. More is revealed in Peacock’s official synopsis below:

Season two finds new parents Ava and Nathan Bartlett three months into parenthood. Focused on taking care of her family, Ava is determined to resist her true crime obsession and return to work as a real estate agent while Nathan trains private tennis clients. But a series of new murders pulls her back – is Matt behind the scenes? Is Tori, now entangled in a relationship with Matt, in danger? For a while, life is good—Ava’s TikTok habit and her new friend Drew provide a welcome distraction, and Nathan’s all about reigniting his tennis career and his friendship with Matt—until danger comes knocking, literally.
