Back 4 Blood 2 may have just been confirmed via leaked codename

Back 4 Blood may not have been the Left 4 Dead surrogate fans hoped so, but If a recent leak is accurate, there may be a second chance to make a good impression. Released in 2021, the four-play co-op shooter managed to receive high praise from critics and fans alike for its intense undead shooting galleries that required teamwork and wits to survive. He has maintained an active and dedicated fan base, which is more than can be said for most live service shooters these days.

If that weren’t enough to spark theories about the development of a sequel, the fact that the domain for “back4blood2.com” was registered in 2023 suggests that Turtle Rock Studios is developing a sequel. As with all leaks, fans are advised to take this information with a grain of salt until it is officially confirmed or debunked.

Back 4 Blood deserves a sequel

It’s a fantastic shooter

Back 4 Blood managed to generate a lot of excitement before its release, and while some of the excitement left users disappointed, most players found something to enjoy. Its slick gunplay, rigorous co-op missions, and excellent enemy designs provided a modernized take on the Left 4 Dead formula that also did enough to stand on its own. Back 4 Blood can be a difficult game to play for solo players, but When playing with friends, it’s a great way to spend the evening.

We can only hope that if a sequel comes to fruition, it resolves some of the more substantial problems that plagued the original. Although they are innovative in their concept, the execution of the skill cards left something to be desired, as they never have as big an impact as one would like. The writing was also painful at times, but both of these problems can be resolved in a sequel.

Even if your competition has only gotten tougher

The co-op shooter market has become somewhat saturated in recent years, so if a sequel to Back 4 Blood can make an impact on players remains to be seen. I would certainly return to the franchise if the supposed sequel could provide an equally satisfying experience. It may not have taken the industry by storm as Left 4 Dead but There’s something about the sight of Turtle Rock that’s undeniably appealing.
