A returning MCU villain in the upcoming Vision series can help Marvel finally move on from its focus on Thanos. The MCU’s transition from the Infinity Saga to the Multiverse Saga has been rough. The franchise did not have a clear direction Avengers: EndgameAnd it’s still struggling to piece everything together into a cohesive narrative. Kong the Conqueror was the main villain of the multiverse saga. However, underwhelming box office returns, poor critical reception, and external legal problems led the studio to pivot to Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom. Another problem with the multiverse saga is that Marvel still hasn’t…

Wonder and CCThe last few Superhero shows ended recently, and I’m relieved that they broke a growing trend in the superhero genre. Villain-centric projects are becoming more popular at both studios. Audiences love a good villain, and these projects pull back the curtain behind these characters to contextualize their actions and make them more empathetic. The latest Marvel and DC shows, Agatha all the time and The penguinFocus on the villains in your franchise and explain what makes them so despicable. Agatha all the time revolves around Agatha Harkness, the witch who manipulated Wanda into Wandavision and tried to steal…

Captain America: Brave New World will feature three villains for Sam Wilson to fight, creating a challenge that previous comic book films have struggled to overcome. Steve Rogers has had to fight many of the MCU’s cruelest villains. He has defeated Hydra multiple times, battling Red Skull and the Winter Soldier as he attempts to destroy the sinister organization. He also had to fight his companions after Baron Zemo divided them, as well as saving the world alongside the Avengers, fighting Loki, Ultron and Thanos. Steve has carved out a peaceful retirement and Sam Wilson is worthy of carrying his…

Batman – Part IIThe main villain of is still unknown, but I am convinced that two characters will not be present after the latest spinoff series. There are many theories about who the next central antagonist in Matt Reeves’ Batman universe will be. The first film teased Barry Keoghan’s Joker, and Penguin now holds the greatest power over Gotham’s criminal underworld. However, many other DC villains in Batman’s catalog could emerge in the wake of the Riddler’s attack, challenging Batman and Gotham’s status quo. The options are not unlimited, as Batman exists in a more grounded reality. Reeves’ universe is…

The penguinArkham’s ending proves that an Arkham Asylum series would be a perfect fit Batman universe. The penguin is the first spinoff series set in Matt Reeves’ Batman universe, but it probably won’t be the last. The series was a resounding success, providing high viewing figures for Max and receiving praise from audiences and critics. There’s no other Batman gig on Max’s schedule as Reeves focuses on development Batman – Part II. However, another series was in development that would center on Arkham Asylum, but unfortunately the show was cancelled. Details about the Arkham Asylum show were scarce before it…

The thunderbolts* Trailer teases the return of the Winter Soldier and I hope it doesn’t undo Bucky Barnes’ nine-year character arc. Marvel’s upcoming thunderbolts* Is basically its version of DC’s Suicide Squad. The film follows a group of the MCU’s best anti-heroes who come together to complete a dangerous mission. The team features an elite lineup including Yelena Belova, Red Guardian, John Walker, Ghost and Taskmaster. The film also brings back Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegre de Fontaine and will introduce Lewis Pullman as Sentry. Most of the characters were introduced in phases 4 and 5, except Ghost and Bucky.…

Marvel has released the first trailers for its first two 2025 films, and I’m excited to see Wonder Bringing back elements of his two best films. After its rocky journey through Phases 4 and 5, the MCU may be figuring itself out. Although Marvel has had some hits since Avengers: Endgame, like Spider-Man: No Way Home, Shang-ChiAnd Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3It also had some flops, viz Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania And The Marvels. Deadpool & Wolverine is his biggest box office hit since No way homeAnd the studio hopes to maintain its upward momentum. While Blade’s status…

Red Hulk’s debut in Captain America: Brave New World allows the MCU to finally adapt a story audiences have waited years for. The last time MCU viewers saw the angry Hulk was in Avengers: Infinity War before being attacked by Thanos. Shortly after, Bruce Banner learned how to combine his two personas into one, uniting brains and brawn. While Professor Hulk is a unique direction for the character, it’s disappointing that Hulk was essentially neutered by Marvel in Phases 4 and 5. Many want to see the Hulk smash again, and that could happen soon, but with a different character.…

Joker: Folie à Deux has some connections to Batman lore, but I’m disappointed it abandoned one of its coolest changes from the first film. Joker 2 isn’t your standard comic book movie and follows its predecessor by being a slow-paced crime thriller – but this time also balancing the fact that it’s a musical. There were hopes that the film would serve as a continuation of Arthur’s transformation into the Joker, but that’s not exactly what happened. Apart from some references to Gotham, such as the introduction Joker 2From Harvey Dent, the sequel is almost completely separate from its DC…

Barry Keoghan’s Joker Could Play a Major Role in Matt Reeves Batman – Part IIand I hope he synthesizes a classic Alfred quote from The Dark Knight. Keoghan’s Joker appeared only briefly in Batmanhaving a small scene near the end of the film and appearing in a deleted scene. His future in DC is unclear, but he could be significant in Batman – Part IIwhether he is the central villain or a secondary antagonist. Still, this Joker has a lot to live up to, as every interpretation of the villain is always compared to Heath Ledger’s Joker. Ledger’s Joker is…
