The original Wonder GirlDonna Troy is ready to embark on her own solo adventure in an upcoming DC Comics series. Writer and artist Phil Jimenez has just revealed a first look at an unannounced project he’s working on that will explore the origin of Donna Troy, allowing this iconic Titan to receive her long-awaited prominence in the comics.
ONE reddit post shared art from Jiménez’s BlueSky page what teases her involvement in a Wonder Girl comic. Her stunning artwork features Donna Troy, Hippolyta, her Titans teammates, and several other characters who play important roles in Donna’s life. According to Jimenez, his project will center on Donna Troy and a man who could be her biological father.
Fans can look forward to seeing where Jimenez takes Wonder Girl in this next adventure as her role in the DC Universe continues to expand to exciting new heights.
Donna Troy will soon take center stage as the Wonder Girl in her own story
The new leader of the Titans has the solo adventure he deserves
Donna Troy debuted as Wonder Girl in 1965 The brave and the bold #60 by Bob Haney and Bruno Premiani, and since then she has become known as a founding member of the Teen Titans. Like Wonder Woman, Donna wields a lasso in battle, although hers is called the Lasso of Persuasion and possesses the ability to bind others against their will. She fought many battles alongside Wonder Woman and her fellow Wonders.and his most prominent role is as Titan. In fact, from Titans #16 by John Layman, Pete Woods and Wes Abbott, Donna Troy replaced Nightwing as leader of the Titans.
Jimenez’s take on Wonder Girl will center Donna in addition to her other affiliations with DC heroes, and based on its synopsis, it appears to be a continuation of her storyline from Tales of the Titans #3 by Steve Orlando and Katherine Lobo, which follows Donna as she integrates her work as a photographer into her Wonder Girl identity to take down Baron Bedlam’s militia. At the end of the edit, Donna receives a letter from a man claiming to be her father, informing Jimenez’s exploration of how this revelation will impact Wonder Girl’s origin.
Our Take on How Wonder Girl’s New Comic Can Finally Simplify Her Complicated Origin
Donna Troy’s Official Story Will Finally Be Solidified
Wonder Girl, for all her accomplishments, lacks a consistent story in DC lore. Donna Troy’s origin has undergone numerous changes over the years, first being Wonder Woman’s younger sister before being rewritten as a genetically modified clone. In more recent attempts to make sense of her past, Donna is a clay duplicate of Diana, reflecting Wonder Woman’s clay origin. This version of his origin, however, is now reconfigured by the introduction of his possible father. Hopefully Phil Jimenez Wonder Girl the story will simplify Donna Troy’s story once it is released by DC Comics.
