Ark Ultimate Mobile Edition is finally here

ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition is launched today worldwide on mobile devices as a free app. ARK takes survival to prehistoric times, combining the elements of a survival RPG with dinosaur hunting and taming mechanics, base building and exploration. And now, fans will be able to experience the vast world of ARK and its expansions for free, on your cell phone.

THE Ultimate Mobile Edition is coming to mobile thanks to Grove Street Games and Snail Games, working alongside Studio Wildcard, the developers of the original ARK: Survival Evolved. The mobile version adapts all elements of the ARK for mobile devices along with all expansions for Evolved Survival, including Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, Genesis Parts 1 and 2, and even the unofficial one created by the community Ragnarok map.

The launch of the new mobile game was celebrated with a trailer posted on ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition YouTube channel. The video shows that the title has stayed true to its survival roots and feels well-suited for mobile devices. The trailer also reveals that the original map of the island, the Burnt Earth expansion, and the Aberration The expansion is available on the mobile app at launch, with the rest of the packs arriving by the end of 2025.

I was a little disappointed to discover that the game isn't compatible with my Android phone, but presumably the title needs the latest hardware to run smoothly.
