In Ark: Ascended Survival, One of the most annoying things can be storing and moving dinosaurs before access to Cryopods, which is why some mods offer better alternatives at earlier points. While Crypods can be unlocked at level 51, they can be expensive for some and tedious for others. This is why many mods focus on a cheaper, easier experience that eases the burden on one of the Arkless important resources.
Functionally, Crypods aren’t incredibly flawed, but they do have some detractors. This was aggravated in one of the AscendedThe biggest mechanical changes that made Cryopods seem almost useless. Happily, These changes, which introduced cooldowns and range limits, will be rolled back soon. However, the original problem of accessing and using cryopods remains, which has led the community to create better alternatives.

Get Cryopods Early with CG Dino Storage
Created by Darcwon
This mod is a simple yet remarkable tweak for Cryopods. It allows players to decide at what level Cryopods and Cryofridges will be unlocked and set the crafting costs for them.. This is a good solution for those who don’t want a more unfair version of dinosaur storage, but want to be able to access it sooner. This mod also uses the default settings for Cryopods, so it will eventually use the reversed mechanics of Evolved.
Additionally, this mod adds some simple settings that can be made to Cryopods. Most notable is the ability to disable Cryo Sickness and Cryopod cooldown. These are some of the most hated Cryopod settings and why many tend to look for mods to get around them. The other two settings are for Cryopod recharge rates and experience multiplier.
Basically, cryopods aren’t inherently bad, just inconvenient.
General, This mod is the simplest way to fix Cryopods without introducing a plethora of new features. Basically, cryopods aren’t inherently bad, just inconvenient. These small changes smooth out any complications while placing the power of when they can be used on each individual player. However, for those who want a more expansive mod, this option falls far short of its rivals.

Step into the future with Dinocloud
Created by Radioactive_Revy
Dinocloud is one of the most futuristic storage mods, but it has some complications that set it apart from others. Dinocloud allows players to store their dinosaurs on a cloud server that can be accessed at any time to retrieve them. This is done through the Cloud Node, an item that works in the same way as a Cryopod, but connects to the server. Because creatures are saved in an online source, they can be transferred between worlds or servers if the mod is in use in the destination location.
This mod has many advantages, namely the ability to save performance by safely storing creatures. The ease of access to purchasing them is also good, but it wouldn’t be as quick as a basic Cryopod in a pinch. The mod also has several features included that set it apart from others. This includes preventing dinosaurs from starving, maintaining all stats, gaining experience over time, and even allowing saved dinosaurs to produce resources..
However, this mod has some issues that detract from its overall quality. The first is that it has save limits on servers, and the only way to increase this is for server owners to donate to the mod.. The other glaring issue is the worst case scenario: the cloud server either works or is deleted. This would lead to the loss of progress for many players and would not be worth the tradeoff of improving performance in Ark: Ascended Survival.
Overall, Dinocloud is a new idea that seems a bit unnecessary when compared to its superiors. Still worth a try for those who want to keep Ark simpleas it is not as advanced as other storage mods but wants to overcome the tedious problems of Cryopods. However, its problems are big enough that better options have become more popular, despite being released after or around the same time as Dinocloud.

Omega Dino storage is a reliable compromise
Created by Hexenlord
Omega Dino Storage is another cloud storage mod, but it’s just Cloud in name. This mod adds an in-game storage “server” where all dinosaurs will be saved. This is already a huge update as it eliminates any fear of losing any of the Ark: Ascended Survivalit’s cooler to tame, as long as the world/server is safe. This mod works by using the Omega Storage Controller to move dinosaurs into or out of storage.
Omega Dino Storage has the same core features as Dinocloud, plus it can allow dinosaurs to maintain their inventory. This isn’t a huge addition, but it’s a nice quality of life change that saves players from having to scavenge after being tamed. However, this mod also has the same limitations, mainly speed. Although this can be avoided by taking the extra step to ensure that any dinosaurs that might be needed in a dire situation are already released.
It is also the last option that does not go beyond the limits of what players may be used to. Ark. This mod offers a balanced but easier-to-use storage system that can appeal to single-player or multiplayer experiences..

Get it all with Super Cryo Storage
Created by brunoamaraltm
Super Cryo Storage, or SCS, is a futuristic dinosaur storage mod that will easily draw comparisons to Pokemon. This mod adds an item called SCS Containers that can contain one tamed dinosaur each and function as a Cryopod without needing to be carried.. Unnecessary containers can be placed at the SCS Terminal for safekeeping and retrieved at any time. Lastly, the mod adds a weapon called the SCS Gun, which can quickly collect tamed dinosaurs if empty containers are available.
While it can’t pull a dinosaur from anywhere like cloud mods, Super Cryo Storage excels at everything else. It offers all the same quality of life features while being relatively inexpensive to manufacture. All three items are unlocked at level 51, so it’s more of a mid-game mod, but it is still cheaper and easier than cryopods. The biggest bonus is the ability to readily cast any number of tamed creatures at once, avoiding any unprepared situations.
Some other notable additions of SCS are that terminals can be configured to move dinosaur products to a defined location. For example, any scarab can receive loads of feces that will be converted while being stored in the Terminal. When feces are converted into fertilizer, the Terminal will move them to defined growing areas.
Overall, Super Cryo Storage is one of the top options for dinosaur storage in Ascended. It combines all the best storage features with the ease and low cost of storing as many items as you want. It’s balanced by the mid-game requirements so players don’t have too easy of a start, but it avoids the late-game problem of Cryopods.

Pelayori cryogenic storage takes cryogenic technology to another level
Created by Pelayori
Pelayori’s Cryo Storage is the perfect mod for storing dinosaurs while staying true to the way it was designed to work. Ark. Basically, the items and mechanics work the same way as Vanilla Ascendedbut these can be easily changed to any specific preference. This makes it easier to create the ideal Ark experience, whether that means making it harder or easier.
The Cryo Terminal is what sets the mod apart from the base game.
This mod also adds three new items in the Cryogun, Neuter Gun and Cryo Terminal. The first two are pretty self-explanatory, being able to instantly cryograph a tamed dinosaur from a distance or safely kill an unwanted tamed dinosaur. The Cryo Terminal is what sets the mod apart from the base game. This terminal is where all dinosaurs can be safely storedand also offers the opportunity to safely kill anyone, like the Neuter Gun, automatically store newborns, and edit tamed dinosaurs (to a certain extent).
While this mod may not look different from basic Cryopods or other configuration storage mods, it does just enough to differentiate itself. What it adds still seems Ark while advancing what is possible with Cryo mechanics. There’s a reason why it’s one of the best and most downloaded mods, not just for storage, but for everyone Ascended.
Overall, the best mods to look out for would be Pelayori’s Cryo Storage or Super Cryo Storage. The first will be for those who want a real Ark experience, but want to make cryopods more easily accessible and tailored to specific styles. Meanwhile, the SCS will be the best choice for anyone who wants a simple and extremely easy method of storing dinosaurs. Any of these five best dinosaur storage mods can work great in Ark: Ascended SurvivalBut these two are different from the rest.
