Reddit user song of broken pines69 was trying to do just that with the snobbish white-furred deer villager, Diana. What they got instead was a hilarious interaction that made them wonder why Diana seemed to dislike them so much. User claims this isn't the first time he's tried to take a cute photo of Diana”in parts of my island that I worked so hard on,“but it will be their final attempt, as they simply”accept the fact that she hates me forever.“

The video the player shares on Reddit shows Diana sitting and relaxing under a snow-covered cherry tree in a cozy elevated area on the player's island. They walk over to the villager and quickly activate the camera app, while Diana appears to relax even more by closing her eyes. Once the camera is set and the player leaves the frame, althoughDiana makes it clear that she disapproves of the paparazzi when she immediately gets up and leaves.

To add insult to injury, As Diana walks away, a green balloon slowly floats into the empty camera shot for perfect comedic timing.. The player then runs back into the frame, faces the camera and lets out a heavy, disappointed sigh.

The comments seem to think this is true of Diana, who is the only deer with a snooty personality in New Horizons. As a Reddit user molscosycorner it says, “She's taking the carefree queen to the next level.” Other comments point out that if she had stayed, the balloon that passed just past to the left would have bombed the scene and ruined the image anyway. It seems like a photo of Diana for this player just wasn't meant to be.

Interactions with villagers like Diana are one of the things that make Animal Crossing: New Horizons such a special game, making many players fall in love with certain Animal crossing villagers.

Often, it is the moody or reserved personalities that tend to win over fans of the series. In part, this is because when these characters finally allow players to share an enjoyable moment with them, it's even more rewarding. Some players have recently mentioned that they have fallen in love with the game's characters, but it seems that from this interaction with Diana that some Animal Crossing: New Horizons the villagers are still charming and full of personality.
