Animal Crossing community rallies behind players who suffered massive in-game loss

One more Animal Crossing: New Horizons Players lost their entire island, the community has offered to help them rebuild. Many players put tens to hundreds of hours into creating and decorating their island, and losing even a little progress can be a huge setback. Losing the entire island is hard to imagine, but that’s exactly what happened to one player.

Reddit user Dusiadu Detailed their fix on Reddit after sending their Switch in for repairs. After putting over 1680 hours of work into their island, DusyaDu’s Switch survived the dreaded “orange screen of death,” Which essentially breaks the console. DusyaDu sent their console to Nintendo to fix it, hoping that the cloud backup would retain the data from the island and allow them to get back into creating once they got their Switch console back.

Unfortunately, the Switch was beyond repair and the Redditor received a new Switch in the mail. What’s more, unfortunately, is that the cloud save failed, leading to the Total loss of the entire island, Evergreen.

Fortunately, DusyaDu still has the dream address for the island, allowing every player to visit the island. This led others to offer to help rebuild the lost island by donating items.

Others echoed the sentiment in the comment section, offering to send the Redditor any items, materials, plants or anything else they need. At the moment Dusiadu is too scared to work on the island again, but if they decide to do it, it is clear that the community will do everything in their power to support them.

The next one Animal Crossing The title is rumored to be in development, but it may be difficult to recreate the same bond that the community currently shares.
