Overall, however, Bitch of the night it's a very different performance from the kind of films Adams is used to. The 2024 film is a surrealist horror piece; much of Adams' career was made up of more conventional dramas. Some of his notable films, for example, include Julia and Julia, The fighterand Deputyall of which are more traditional dramas compared to Bitch of the night. Adams also played a princess in a major 2007 film that was critically appreciated but less revered by a member of her family.

Adams reveals that her daughter wasn't thrilled with Enchanted the first time she saw it. Directed by Kevin Lima, Enchanted This is a 2007 film that sees an animated princess named Giselle emerge from the fairytale land of Andalasia and onto the streets of New York City. Although she was prepared to marry a man in Andalasia, she ends up falling in love with a New York lawyer upon arriving in the city, while her prince pursues her. In addition to Adams, Enchanted featured a main cast including Susan Sarandon, James Marsden, Patrick Dempsey, Timothy Spall and Julie Andrews.
Talking to Vanity FairAdams reveals his daughter's first reaction to Enchanted. According to the actor, his daughter saw Enchanted “by accident“for the first time when it was shown on a hotel TV. When watching the film, Adams described his daughter Aviana as being”unbeliever“towards the film, observing”she was not impressed.” The girl would have asked her actress mother “Why are you on TV wearing a silly white dress?”. Aviana saw Enchanted. Her response is, “Why are you on TV wearing a silly white dress?” But she liked it. The first time she saw it, it was by accident. We were in a hotel and she woke up really early and I turned on the TV and it was on, and I thought, “alright, let's see what happens.” And she was kind of in disbelief and not impressed.

Knowing how well Enchanted was received, it's fun to hear about Adams' daughter's reaction to the generally beloved fairy tale film. Enchanted received a 93% Tomatometer rating among critics on Rotten Tomatoes, along with an 80% Popcornmeter approval rating from audiences. It also performed well in theaters at the time of its release, grossing $340.4 million worldwide on an estimated budget of $85 million. While Aviana may have been part of the pessimistic 20% at first, Enchanted has generally stood the test of time.
