While he signed a deal with 19 Recordings executives ended up dropping him from their lineup after he released an EP. As a result, Noah became an independent artist.

american idolNoah Thompson has been trying to make money by playing shows across the country, but his latest update isn’t promising.

Noah just promoted his upcoming show on Instagram, but the most surprising part of the post was that his November 13th show at The Local Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee, is free to the public, which means he won’t make any money from this show. Noah’s Instagram post mentioned that he will be “playing lots of new songs” and he hopes fans show up. In an Instagram story, also about his Nashville show, the american idol winner said: “It will be my first full band show in Nashville, like, forever..”

What Noah Thompson’s free concert means for his career

Noah is trying to make a living as a musician

Noah has been trying to make a living as a professional singer and musician since winning american idol. Being dropped from his record label didn’t stop him from continuing to pursue his dreams and goals. He has been working hard to write, record and release new music; film music videos; and performing shows across the country.

It’s not cheap to hire recording studios or film music videos. Based on your comment, he has a “full band“whose members need to be paid for their work. That money needs to come from somewhere. So Either the band isn’t getting paid for this Nashville show either or Noah is having to spend his own money to ensure they are taken care of, as he does not have a major record label to provide him with financial support.

Noah hopes to gain new fans

It’s possible that Noah is using a free program as a way to get his name out to music fans who don’t know him. Nashville is the country music capital of the world; Locals and tourists alike probably discover new artists all the time there, so he’s giving them a way to listen to his music and hopefully start streaming his catalog when they get home. On the other hand, a free program means he’s not earning a salary to help raise his young family. No matter the reason, hopefully the Nashville show will have a big crowd and he will leave with more fans.
