Amanda had bariatric surgery in 2023

Amanda had already had bariatric surgery once, about a decade ago, but gained the weight back. During 1000 Pound Sisters 5th season, Amanda announced that she would have a second bariatric surgery. In March 2023, Amanda and one of her sisters, Misty Wentworth, had weight loss surgery on the same day. As she gained weight after her first surgery, Amanda is understandably worried about gaining weight again.

Amanda's knee injury slowed her down

At the last weigh-in Amanda weighed 299 kilos and this time the scale read 268 pounds. Although the 1000 Pound Sisters star still lost some weight, it was less than expected after weight loss surgery. Although she is disappointed, Amanda is determined to get back on track.
