Amanda Halterman Celebrated An Incredible Weight Loss Milestone With A Makeover (She Looks So Different)

1000 Pound Sisters star Amanda Halterman has lost a significant amount of weight since undergoing gastric bypass surgery and recently celebrated with a brand new look. Premiering in 2020, the unscripted series revolves around the weight loss journeys of Amy Slaton and Tammy Slaton, but some of their other siblings have gotten in on the weight loss action themselves. Amanda, 43, did not appear on the show for the first few seasons as she was going through a divorce from her ex-husband, David Halterman.

While many of the Slaton siblings have struggled with their weight their entire lives, Amanda has always been the thin one. Everything changed after 1000 Pound Sisters the Season 6 star got married and had kids. Now that her children are grown and out of the house, Amanda has turned her focus to herself, embarking on your own weight loss journey. After losing a lot of weight, Amanda decided she needed a makeover and looked like a whole new woman. Read on to see her new look.

Amanda Halterman’s Weight Loss Journey

She had gastric surgery twice

During 1000 Pound Sisters Season 5, Amanda and her other sister, Misty Slaton Wentworth, announced that they would both have weight loss surgery on the same day. “Me and Misty are going to see Dr. Smith,” Amanda told her siblings. Eric Smith is the bariatric surgeon who treated several of the other Slatons. Amy, Tammy and their brother, Christ Slaton, 43, had already had the surgery, so they knew the risk Amanda and Misty were taking. With the support of his concerned brothers, Amanda and Misty had bariatric surgery on the same dayin March 2023.

That It wasn’t the first time Amanda had been under the knifesince she had bariatric surgery in 2014, long before appearing on 1000 Pound Sisters. Amanda lost more than 300 pounds after her first weight loss surgery, but found herself gaining the weight back. Since the surgery, Amanda has lost a lot of weight and looks like a whole new woman.

Amanda took her time with her new look. In July, Amanda posted TikTok photos of herself trying out different hair colors and styles in an application. In some of the test photos, she is wearing bright, colorful shades of pink and blue, while in one photo, Amanda is wearing long, wavy hair.

Amanda recently posted a TikTok in which she talked about a dear family friend while showing off her new look. She cut her long hair to a more polished shoulder-length length. Amanda had her ups and downs during 1000 Pound Sisters Season 6, even getting into a huge fight with Amy and Tammy. It’s unclear how much weight Amanda has lost, but it’s a significant amount because she looks like a different person.
