Friendship level increases based on how many days players have registered each other as friends and interacted with each other, such as sending gifts or battling. Reaching Best Friend level requires players to be friends for at least 90 days with consistent daily interactions. Lucky Friend status is only appropriate when trainers are best friends, with a roughly 1% chance of this happening each day.
