All the joker actors who didn’t return for the sequel

Warning! This article contains spoilers for Joker: Folie à Deux.

Joker: Folie a Deux
the film was very different from 2019 Jokerwith many of the original cast being completely absent from the sequel. Long awaited Joker The sequel has become one of the most anticipated superhero films. However, since its release, it has proven to be one of the most criticized superhero films to date.

While the film clearly had a new agenda compared to the original, the film reflects these changes with a new setting, the introduction of new central characters, and the removal of several familiar faces from the original. Since the film now takes place at Arkham State Hospital, with some changes when Arthur goes on trial, It wouldn’t make sense for some of the characters from the previous film to appear. However, this further increases the distance between the films.

Young Bruce Wayne

Arthur works wonders for Bruce Wayne in the 2019 Joker movie

Bye Joker clearly different from other Batman films, it briefly featured the Dark Knight himself, albeit before the tragedy of his parents’ deaths occurred. Later in the film, he returns again after Fleck’s on-air explosion causes riots throughout the city. Amid the panic and chaos, Bruce walks down an alley with his parents and they are shot and killed in a robbery gone wrong. Douglas Hodge

Alfred Pennyworth

Arthur strangles Alfred in Joker 2019

After a brief interaction with Bruce, Arthur attracts the attention of the irreplaceable Alfred Pennyworth, who works for the Waynes. Alfred often appeared in other Batman films and TV series in the role of a humble butler, and Bruce Wayne’s only true friendwho hides behind his Batman identity. Given his long history with the Wayne family and the fact that he’s known Bruce since birth, it makes sense for Alfred to stay by his side even when his parents are killed.

However, like Young Master Bruce, Alfred is nowhere to be seen in the sequel. It is unknown whether he is traveling with Bruce or looking after the house in his absence, but he has no reason to associate with the deranged Arthur Fleck after their last brief meeting. Alfred asked Arthur to come out at the gate. when he noticed him talking to Bruce, but in his agitated state, Arthur attempted to strangle Alfred before escaping.

Unknown actor

Joe Chill

A man in a clown mask prepares to kill the Waynes in Joker.

Although Bruce became an orphan at a young age, the man responsible for the death of his parents managed to hide his identity, hidden in Joker. After Arthur’s appearance on The Murray Franklin Show, Riots break out in the city when people wear clown masks. and seek to cause anarchy. One such man in a clown mask met Bruce’s parents in the same alley where they and their son tried to avoid detection. However, the masked gunman shot them both dead, leaving them for dead and Bruce without his parents.

In the comics and other adaptations, this man is commonly known as a criminal named Joe Chill. Does this translate to Joker The film is unclear, but nevertheless, no character with that name appears in the sequel. Unfortunately, cEditing and other sources keep this actor’s identity a well-guarded secret.therefore, neither the actor nor the character can decide.

Shea Whigham

Detective Burke

Detective Garrity in the movie

How Joker Arthur Fleck’s mental state gradually deteriorated until he broke down and began to kill. The Inciting Incident occurred when Fleck met and killed three Wayne Enterprises employees who were trying to abuse the mentally unstable Arthur over his clown costume. After this incident, the police paid great attention to high-profile murders. Detectives Burke and Garrity were the main officers assigned to the case..

Shea Whigham played Burke, and given his thorough investigation into Arthur, it would make sense to bring him back for Joker: Folie à Deux. However, the film decided to rely on other people to develop the case and act as witnesses. Considering his own misguided actions in Joker when he shoots another innocent clown while chasing Arthurperhaps it would have been better if he had not been called to court.

Bill Camp

Detective Garrity

Detective Burke and Garrity in the film

Bill Camp co-starred with Burke as Detective Garrity. Garrity was another of Gotham’s loyal detectives.but he had a much cooler head than Burke. While Burke accidentally shoots a bystander wearing a clown mask and provokes aggression and violence from the clown cult, Garrity manages to remain calm and come out with clean hands.

Connected

Garrity would be a very effective witness to call testimony. Joker: Foley-a-Doublegiven his intimate knowledge of the matter and the fact that he was at the center of the struggle when the riots broke out. Garrity’s absence from the film is not clearly explained.but the sequel involved many other law enforcement officers who made Arthur’s life hell when he was captured.

Marc Maron

Gene Ufland

Gene Ufland in Joker

Marc Maron is a popular comedian who has performed, written, and produced numerous films and projects throughout his career. In the world of the Joker Maron was chosen to produce The Murray Franklin Show. who interacts with Arthur Fleck moments before he appears on air and commits a gruesome murder of the host.

His main goal as producer Gene Ufland is to make the show as interesting and entertaining as possible. To do this, he books guests who might cause a reaction, but he didn’t realize how inflammatory Fleck’s appearance would be for the people of Gotham. Again, Ufland could face trialhelping to add a first-hand account of the murder of Murray Franklin, but it was absent from the sequel.

3

Sondra James

Dr. Sally

The Joker kisses Dr. Sally on the Murray Franklin show in the movie

Sondra James is an actress whose film career began in 1982. She has played supporting roles in a variety of television shows and films, as well as Jokershe was cast as Dr. Sally, another guest on the Murray Franklin show. She was also present on that fateful night when Fleck stands up and shoots Murray through his own desk. In fact, she sat comfortably next to Fleck while he was being interviewed.

Connected

Although her role was minor and she didn’t have much to add to the plot of the film, again, she may have been the main witness in the case against Arthur Fleck. However, given the fact that the incident played out live on television, there was no need to prove that the murder happened, just how and why it happened. Dr. Sally may have only briefly interacted with Fleck, but she could have been a valuable witness.

2

April Grace

Arkham Psychiatrist

April Grace as Arkham's psychiatrist in Joker

Although Debra Kane was Arthur Fleck’s primary social worker before his crimes, after he was captured and placed in Arkham, he met with a new psychiatrist. April Grace, actress who has appeared in a number of other DC projects in small roles, including Konstantin And Lucifer to Jokerreturns to appear in Joker as the last psychiatrist who interacts with him in the film. Arthur has committed several murders at this point and she is here to assess his mental state.

It is likely that her assessment played a decisive role in Arthur being detained and sent to a state hospital rather than to a full-fledged prison. However, in Joker: Foley-a-Doubleshe is nowhere to be seen. Arthur does see a psychiatrist in Ward B, and another psychiatrist is called into the trial to give character testimony, even though he only ever spent 90 minutes with Fleck. April Grace’s psychiatrist likely had vital insight into his condition immediately after he was captured, but thereafter she was not there.

1

Josh Pace

Hoyt Vaughn

Josh Pace as Hoyt Vaughn in Joker

Finally, there was another figure who had a close connection with Arthur. Joker but was subsequently absent. Hoyt Vaughn was disgusting and constantly disappointing. the man who ran the clowns for hire that Arthur worked for before the murders. Vaughn is played by Josh Pace, who is also a very prolific television actor with over 100 credits to his credit. As Vaughn, he was the man who fired Fleck after an incident where he brought a gun to a children’s hospital and quickly fired him as a result.

Connected

While Vaughn’s actions were entirely justified and it would be a huge risk to keep on your books a man who committed such a reckless act, his firing of Fleck likely played a role in Fleck’s subsequent actions. Of course, he was not to blame for anything, but Arthur’s mental state was such that it drove him to the extreme. Vaughn may have been too afraid to show his face in the courtroom with Arthur and potentially felt he was partly responsible, but either way his absence from Joker: Foley-a-Double makes sense.
