The update of the classic Dom Toretto

Dom's Dodge Charger detonating the bomb in Rome.

Dom brought back his base Dodger Charger R/T for much of the Fast. However, there was a scene in Rome where Dom ended up behind the wheel of a 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody. It is, like his other Chargers, sleek and black, and the scene in which it appeared was one of the greatest in the film. This caused a bomb that Dante triggered to roll down the hill and explode in the Vatican. This scene was also, surprisingly, done practically in terms of the action and actual movements of the car..

Director Louis Letterier said they made the one-ton ball roll down the street and the only way to stop it was for Dominic Toretto’s car to hit it just right and send it into the water. “We really did it! We set it up. We set it on fire. We blow up gas stations. All this was done for real, in Rome” (through Cinema mix). The Redeye has an improved version of the Hellcat engine, and Dodge claims its car can go 129 mph around a quarter-mile race track in just 10.6 seconds.

Who drove the most cars in the Fast and Furious movies?

Dom has the widest range of vehicles (although he doesn’t lead much)

While this probably won’t come as a surprise to fans of Fast and Furious films, there are no characters in the franchise who have been behind the wheel of more different cars than Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto. Dom is seen driving 30 different cars throughout the Fast saga, putting him far ahead of most other characters when it comes to vehicle variety. However, even though Dom drives more than twice as many different cars as most Fast and Furious characters, there’s a close second – Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner.

Brian drives 24 cars in each Fast and Furious film in which he appears, just 6 fewer than Dom. However, like many fans of Fast and Furious and its sequels probably already know too, there’s one main reason Dom kept the lead. Paul Walker, who played Brian, tragically passed away in 2013. Although the Fast saga made a great effort to honor his legacy, and Brian is still alive in the film universe, Walker’s death means that Brian hasn’t appeared in his full capacity since Fast and Furious 6.

Dom Toretto, on the other hand, has been the central character in all Fast and Furious film outside Tokyo Drift and the 2019 Hobbs and Shaw spin off. Understandably, having such a prominent appearance in four Fast films in the saga in which Brian only had, at most, posthumous cameos, means that Dom simply had more opportunities to drive a wider variety of cars. It is very likely that if Paul Walker had not passed away, Brian would be the character seen behind the wheel of the most different vehicles to the point where Fast X.

How Dom’s cars evolved with the franchise

Dom kept his beloved Dodge American Muscle Car

Dom driving his car in Fast and Furious

When it comes to the Dominic Toretto cars in Fast and Furious saga, there was almost always a consistent one. Dom has always been proud to own and drive American muscle cars. Brian was always different, as he preferred smaller and faster imports, but Dom rarely resorted to a smaller, sleek imported car or sports car unless he had no other option.. However, what evolved throughout the franchise was Dom’s Charger.

Dom continued to upgrade his Chargers, making the car more and more powerful as time went on.

The first film featured Dom’s 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. It had important significance as he helped his father build the car as a child, and when his father died he was scared to drive it. It wasn’t until the end of the film that Dom finally drove it, opening the car up to become what it was best known for. Since then, he has driven a Charger in every Fast and Furious film from the bedroom. However, Dom continued to upgrade his Chargers, making the car more and more powerful as time went on.

Other cars he used along the way, including the 1987 Buick Grand National that Dom used to hijack fuel tankers in the Dominican Republic, were mostly chosen for specific tasks. He even drove a BMW E60 M5 in London, but once again, he had little choice in using a car in this film. All over Fast and FuriousDom’s cars featured various forms of the Dodge Charger (and at least one Dodge Challenger), and he never wavered in his loyalty to the brand.
