Pokémon TCG Pocket offers many missions for players to participate in, but not all missions in the game are visible, as several secret missions only reveal themselves after they are completed. Unfortunately, all the secret missions we know of at this point are related to collectingso each one will require some grinding to complete.
As stated, Pokémon TCG PocketSecret missions are hidden. You will not be able to find an in-game list where you can see these quests or your progress. Once you complete one, the game will automatically trigger the mission to complete so you can receive your reward; otherwise, you’ll just have to track them down yourself.
How to find all secret missions
Discover hidden rewards by accidentally completing missions
The short answer is that you can’t find the secret missions in Pokémon TCG Pocket. The only way to find them other than word of mouth is to look at another player’s cards. I initially discovered the secret mission that rewards the Mew card simply because I saw it in various storefronts and other players’ binders.
However, all other secret missions do not reward new cards, so the only way to discover them is to complete them yourself or hear about them. Most rewards will consist of hourglasses and store ticketswith another expectation being that which awards a special emblem on Pokémon TCG Pocket.
Each secret mission and how to complete them
Collect as many cards as you can
At the moment, all seven secret missions revolve around collecting. This means if you want to complete them all, the simple way to do so is to collect one of each card in the game. However, this is a lot to ask, especially with the lack of negotiation in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Furthermore, if you don’t intend to spend money to open more packs, it will take even longer to acquire the missing cards.
Fortunately, most quests only require a handful of cards that you may already be close to finishing, in addition to the one that unlocks Mew. If you’re only missing one or two cards from each mission, you might even have enough pack points to craft the card you need in TCG Pocket. That said, the rewards may not be worth wasting if you don’t intend to use the card or are hoping to save up for a rarer one.
Apex Genetic Museum Quests (Charizard, Pikachu and Mewtwo)
The first set of secret missions revolves around collecting all 1-star rarity cards from each Booster Pack. Each Genetic Apex Booster Pack, including Pikachu, Charizard, and Mewtwo, has its own Genetic Apex Museum mission. This means you won’t have to worry about collecting them all from each pack before receiving a reward. Genetic Apex Museum missions require the following cards:
Charizard Genetic Apex Museum Mission |
Apex Pikachu Genetic Museum Mission |
Mewtwo Apex Genetic Museum Mission |
---|---|---|
Charmander |
Squirtle |
Bulbasaur |
Meow |
Eevee |
Idem |
Lapras |
Gyarados |
Pidgeot |
Slowpoke |
Snorlax |
Dragonite |
Pinsir |
Nidoking |
Porígon |
Rapidash |
Nidoqueen |
Cube |
Melancholy |
Diglett |
Crying |
Alakazam |
Electrode |
Golbat |
The rewards for each mission are the same, with each award Pack of 12 hourglasses, 36 marvelous hourglasses and 10 store tickets. This means that if you complete all three missions, you will have 36 Pack Hourglasses, 108x Wonder Hourglasses and 30x Shop Tickets. It sounds attractive in theory, but it’s not that significant of a reward in exchange for how much work it takes to collect those cards that have a 2.572% chance of being pulled from a regular pack.
Kanto Region 2 Gym Leaders
You’ll want to collect some Trainer Supporter cards for the fourth secret mission. Unfortunately, This is not broken down individually into packs like the Genetic Apex Museum missionsso you will need to collect some from each booster in Pokémon TCG Pocket to complete the entire mission. There are eight cards to collect in total and they include:
Booster Pack |
Card |
---|---|
Charizard |
Blaine |
Erika |
|
Sabrina |
|
Pikachu |
Misty |
Brock |
|
Lieutenant Outbreak |
|
Mewtwo |
John |
Koga |
Note that there are regular versions of these cards in each Booster Pack, but that is not what is needed for this mission. You need the full version with 2-star rarity art of these trainers. The reward for collecting all eight trainers includes Pack of 12 hourglasses, 48 wonderful hourglasses and 20 store tickets.
The Immersive Four
The fifth secret mission involves collecting four of the most desirable cards in the game. To complete this mission you will need collect one of each immersive card with full art, including ex Pikachu, ex Charizard, ex Mewtwo and Mew.
Card |
Booster Pack |
---|---|
Ex-Pikachu |
Pikachu |
Former Charizard |
Charizard |
Mewtwo ex |
Mewtwo |
Meow |
None. Complete the Kanto Pokédex secret mission. |
Plus Mew unlocked through another secret mission you can extract every immersive EX card from your booster. Unfortunately, the 3-star immersive cards are the rarest outside of the Crown Rare cards, so this may take some time to complete, but considering how many packs may be needed to meet Mew’s requirements, it’s likely you’ll have the others on hand. moment you unlock that one.
The legendary flight continues
If you completed The Legendary Flight quest in Theme Collections Pokémon TCG Pocketso you know you had to collect all three of Kanto’s legendary birds to complete it. This is taking this quest a step further, where you now need to specifically collect the 2-star rainbow versions of Articuno EX, Zapdos EX and Moltres EX.
Card |
Booster Pack |
---|---|
Articuno EX |
Mewtwo |
Zapdos EX |
Pikachu |
EX Shows |
Charizard |
Given that you need to collect the rarest version of these Pokémon currently in Pokémon TCG Pocketthis may take some time to finish. The rewards for completing this quest reward you with Pack of 12 Hourglasses, 48 Wonderful Hourglasses and a Legendary Bird Emblem. While the Hourglass reward amount is a little lackluster, the Pokémon Legendary Birds Badge is a unique reward item and a great way to show off your dedication to collecting on your profile.
Complete the Kanto Pokédex
This quest will probably take longer to complete compared to the others except Immersive Four because you need Mew to complete it. To complete it, you need to collect one of each Kanto Pokémon in Pokémon TCG Pocketof which there are 150. You will receive the last one, Mew, as a reward for doing this, making 151 in total.
This seems simple enough, given that most Pokémon are common, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Despite opening several packs and discovering some of the rarest cards in the game, I still haven’t collected some of the more common cards simply because I haven’t picked them up. You have the option of trying to get them out of Wonder Picks, but again, this is just a casual attempt.
One of the easiest ways to get the missing cards is, without a doubt, to craft them using Pack Points. Especially if you are only missing a few of the more common ones, they are relatively cheap to make. However, it is up to players to decide whether they want to sacrifice points for something common. I don’t see any benefit in doing this, personally. Chances are you’ll probably pull out the common card sooner or later, and the points will be better spent on something less common, like the Crown Rare cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket.
