RPG games will be released between January 1st and March 31st

The first quarter of 2025 promises to give players plenty of RPGs to choose from, with notable releases like Monster Hunter Wilds, Dune: Awakening, and Declaredan action RPG from Oblivion and Xbox Studios set in the same universe as Pillars of Eternity. Declared was originally scheduled to arrive in 2024, before being pushed back to a February 2025 release.

Other interesting Q1 releases include Dishonest Waters, a pirate turn-based roguelite RPG, as well as one of two new Studio installments leaving in 2025, The Alchemist of Memories and the Imagined Earth. RPG games will be released between April 1st and June 30th

In Q2 2025 there are some incredible RPG releases, with notable games like Fantasy Life i: The girl who steals time and Lineages 2, the anticipated sequel to the 2004 hit based on the tabletop RPG Vampire: The Masquerade. Only a few Q2 releases have specific release dates, but many games are slated to arrive at some point during this period, including Yukikaze Studio's upcoming spiritual successor to the Dark Hearts series, Blood of a penny. There is also the first chapter in Oaths of Lighta quirky take on a classic JRPG experience.

RPG games will be released between July 1st and December 31st

While there are no games with specific release dates during Q3, some games have been announced for undesignated Q3 release during Summer 2025. Major releases between July 1 and September 30 include the new Dying Light autonomous experience, Dying Light: The Beast, and while GTA 6 The validity of RPG is debatable, is scheduled for a possible release in the third or fourth quarter of 2025.
