Now this Arcane concluded with its second and final season, each League of Legends the show’s champion was revealed, as were his powers and abilities. As a prequel series that explores the history of many playable games League of Legends characters, Arcane was especially well suited to redefining how the various champions would transform into the versions of themselves that longtime players were familiar with. The show began making more drastic retcons as it went along, with Arcane the season 2 finale seemingly setting up a new League of Legends canon.
Many champions in Arcane still align quite well with their League of Legends counterparts, from their basic history to their special abilities. Other characters were given new powers to work with, while other champions were created exclusively for the show. Comparing the powers and abilities of these champions in Arcane and League of Legends offers a fascinating look at the creative differences between each project. It also demonstrates how the future Arcane spinoffs could take a similar approach or have their characters stray further from their roles in League of Legends.

Ambessa Medarda
A brutal warrior and weapons expert
A Noxian general interested in manipulating Piltover into war for personal gain, few could match Ambessa Medarda’s exceptional combat prowess. She is a master of several types of weapons and a brilliant military strategist, occasionally using specialized equipment designed to repel arcane-based attacks. As in League of Legends, Ambessa is particularly skilled with her twin dogsalthough in game she can actually increase damage with multiple attacks. His other unique abilities in the game include gaining a shield, increased speed, and a near-instant jump to surprise and overwhelm an enemy.

Caitlyn Kiramman
Sniper and hand-to-hand combat
Despite being born into a powerful family, Caitlyn found her calling in law enforcement, dedicating her time to becoming an expert marksman and a brilliant detective. Your skills with any firearm are unmatched in Arcaneand she gets a hextech upgrade in Season 2 that makes her even more deadly. This is also its main role in League of Legendsalthough the nature of the game means she has no chance to exercise her deductive skills. Caitlyn’s abilities in the game include landing a headshotthrowing a trap that temporarily stuns opponents, firing a heavy net and setting up a perfect shot.

Ekko
Time travel and high-tech equipment
A gifted prodigy from a young age, Ekko put his technical skills to work to create a refuge for people affected by crime and poverty in Zaun. Although he developed hoverboards, specialized weapons, and more, his most impressive achievement was a device that could rewind time a few seconds, giving him an advantage in a fight. Arcane Season 2 sets four seconds as Ekko’s limitjust like its in-game equivalent in League of Legends. It can also slow down enemies, split the timeline, and warp reality, all of which have been explored to some extent in Arcane.

Heimerdinger
Brilliant inventor and gadget expert
Although not a fighter in ArcaneProfessor Cecil B. Heimerdinger is one of Piltover’s most talented inventors. He helps other characters by putting his mind to various scientific and arcane-related problems, from aiding Ekko’s refuge to helping him return to his own dimension. In League of LegendsHeimerdinger has several abilities that make him ideal for combatincluding speed, turrets, hextech rockets and upgrading your equipment. Heimerdinger’s lack of violence in Arcane makes him stand out more from his character in League of Legends.

Jayce Talis
Hextech expert and incredible strength
Jayce Talis defied the wishes and expectations of his fellow academics by developing hextechnology, which he eventually used to create a special warhammer for himself. Arcane captures Jayce’s brilliant mind combined with his incredible strengthcapable of inventing new equipment and wielding it alone in battle. Although the program primarily makes him use his trademark weapon, he has the ability to swap weapons in League of Legends while gaining more speed. He can also leap towards enemies, create a field of lightning, and increase his armor and magic resistance.

Jinx/Dust
Glow-enhanced explosions and abilities
Jinx’s chaotic mind and unbalanced personality make a deadly combination when combined with her specially crafted weapons. Although initially not as good a fighter as others around her, Jinx developed incredible agility and gained increased speed when the glow was permanently infused into her bloodstream. In League of Legendsshe has a stun gun called the Zapper to slow down enemies, Flame Chompers that bite enemies, and a Super Mega Death Rocket, reminiscent of her attack on Piltover’s high council at the end of Arcane season 1.

Mel Medarda
Born to wield the arcane and master empathy
Unlike most others Arcane champions, Mel Medarda is exclusive to the show and has never appeared as a playable character in League of Legends. Rejecting her mother’s warrior ways, Mel never became a fighter, relying on her intelligence and ability to manipulate others to rise to power in Piltover. However, Arcane season two reveals her connection to a society called the Black Rose, and she unlocks her own connection to the arcane. Recent reports suggest that Mel could become the first new League of Legends champion in 2025although this has not yet been officially confirmed.

Sevika
A fighter with an impressive mechanical upgrade
Just like Mel Medarda, Sevika is not a playable champion in League of Legendsbut your skills in Arcane demonstrate why many fans want her to be. After losing her arm, Sevika replaces it with a mechanical upgrade, giving her a significant advantage in combat. In Season 2, Jinx gives her a makeover with her trademark whimsy and over-the-top flair, granting Sevika all sorts of abilities. This includes a flamethrower, a claw, and even music to listen to during the fight. This version of Sevika would be an incredible champion if it were added League of Legends list.

Silco
Master of manipulation and strategy
The last greatness Arcane character without champion counterpart in League of Legends is Silco, a hardened criminal who rules the streets of Zaun with an iron fist. As noted by Jinx and Sevika, Silco rarely gets his hands dirty in a fight, although he seems to prefer a knife on occasions when he kills an enemy. Silco is a leader who uses fear, intimidation and long-term planning to keep his followers in lineand his vast resources and hired weapons give him the advantage. He regularly injects a small amount of Shimmer into his damaged left eye.

Singed/Dr.
Mad scientist and monster creator
A brilliant but cruel alchemist, Singed created the Shimmer serum that could turn anyone into a monster. His experiments with mutations of different creatures were all done to save his daughter from death, and although Singed is not a fighter, he can summon his beasts to help. League of Legends gives Signed an ability called Poison Trailwhich is similar to the one he uses to capture wolves at the beginning of Arcane season 2. He can also use adhesive to slow enemies, launch targets into the air, and drink potent chemicals to improve his combat.

Saw
Skilled fighter with gauntlets to match
Vi has known little but tragedy since she was young, forcing her to grow up quickly and train as a talented fighter. Vi possesses remarkable physical strength and unwavering willpower.and when using her special hextech gauntlets, she is nearly unstoppable in a fight. Despite everything she has been through, she demonstrates uncompromising love and loyalty to those she cares about, which gives her an additional source of strength. Your skills in League of Legends include creating a shield, increasing attack speed with attacks, and destroying a target.

Victor
Master of the Arcane and Mind Control
Born into the underworld with a physical disability, Viktor dedicated himself to improving his mind and developing innovative inventions. His studies in hextechnology led to one of the most radical character transformations in history. Arcane, becoming less and less human until he truly became one with magic. Viktor’s gradual change provided him with better mobility and cured his illnessand later he could heal others, control minds, and radically alter body chemistry. He has an ability called Glorious Evolution in League of Legendswhich is referenced as his main motivation in Arcane season 2.

Warwick/Vander
A wolf-like beast with unparalleled brute strength
One of the most surprising champions to debut in Arcane season two is Warwick, Vander’s monstrous revived form. With a fierce will to live, Singed was able to bring Vander back from the brink of death by experimenting on him and fusing it with wolf DNA. Like Warwick, he is driven completely by bloodlust, able to track a target several miles away with nothing able to stop his strength and giant claws. League of Legends Warwick has a greater ability to bite targets, has a howl that deals damage and stuns the first champion he collides with.
