Since 2017, South Korean actress Han So-hee has appeared in several K-dramasand each of their roles was uniquely different, making some characters much more interesting than others. Han first entered the K-drama scene in 2017 when she took on a smaller role in the series, Worlds Reunited. From there, she quickly collected even more roles until she became a notable leading lady. More recently, Han has become known for K-dramas such as Gyeongseong creature, howeverand my name. Han is a talented actress with a lot to offer, but her characters aren’t always the best.

Of the nine K-drama roles Han has created, there are some truly amazing characters and some more forgettable ones. Han’s best characters are the ones with interesting stories and lots to do on screen. Meanwhile, its worst characters are those who don’t bring much to the plot and, worse, feel more like devices to keep the story moving than real people. Lee Seo won in Worlds Reunited

Han plays his brother’s girlfriend

It should come as no surprise that Han’s least interesting role was his first in 2017. Worlds Reunited. This K-drama follows a couple of high school students who are struck by tragedy when their boyfriend is unexpectedly killed. However, their story becomes even more complicated when her boyfriend comes back to life 12 years later, triggering a renewed love story and a search for the truth. In the series, Han plays Lee Seo-won, the boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend.

Considering that Han’s character is part of the extensive cast and only plays a secondary role in the series, it makes sense that she isn’t the most interesting. Seo-won’s character is made up of three parts: Sung Young-joon’s girlfriend, the hospital director’s daughter, and a fashion journalist. Overall, these are somewhat interesting features, but they are never explored much because Seo-woon is simply not at the center of this story. Therefore, Seo-won is one of Han’s least interesting characters.

Yoon Seo-made a lot of money

Han is the other woman

Money Flower (2017) is a South Korean television drama that explores themes of revenge, greed and ambition in the complex dynamics of a wealthy family and their corporate empire.

A character who is a step ahead of Han’s role in Worlds Reunited It’s Seo-won in Money flower. This 2017 revenge K-drama follows Kang Jil-poo, a respected lawyer from the iconic Cheong-A Group who aims to avenge his family’s death by taking down the company once and for all. To do this, he intends to find Jang Boo-cheon a beautiful woman, but Jil-poo begins to fall in love with her, creating a complex and problematic love triangle. About that, Han plays Boo-cheon’s ex-lover Seo-won.

Seo won in money flower is a little more fun to watch than Seo-won in Worlds Reunited because the former is not only Boo-cheon’s lover, but his secret lover. This adds another layer of intrigue to her story, where she becomes jealous of Boo-cheon’s new love interest but can’t publicly show her disdain. Her ties to the Cheong-A Group also put her in a unique position to cause chaos within the already difficult love triangle. Ultimately, Seo-won isn’t the best character, but she definitely adds some spice to the plot.

7

Lee Eun-soo on soundtrack 1

Han takes the lead role

Soundtrack #1 is a South Korean romantic drama web series directed by Kim Hee-won. Released in 2022, it stars Han So-hee and Park Hyung-sik as longtime friends who navigate their evolving relationship while working together on a songwriting project. The series explores themes of friendship, unexpressed feelings and the power of music to connect people.

Cast

Park Hyung-sik, Han So-hee, Victoria Grace, Hao Feng, Jennifer Sun Bell, David Chen, Steven Lim, Seo In-Guk

One of Han’s more recent K-drama roles that falls on the more boring side of things is Lee Eun-soo in Soundtrack #1. This drama follows best childhood friends, Eun-soo and Han Seon-woo, who meet again after many years when they start living together. Seon-woo is a photographer who moves to help Eun-soo write a song about unrequited love for a big music producer. As they rekindle their old friendship, the two begin to realize that their own feelings for each other may run deeper.

With just four episodes under its belt, Soundtrack #1 moves quickly, making it difficult for Eun-soo to stand out as anything more than just a good protagonist.

Although Han is the main character in Soundtrack #1, his role is not the most fascinating. Eun-soo is definitely a solid character as she has a creative job as a lyricist and goes through a wide range of emotions, but Soundtrack #1 it’s usually too short to make Eun-soo exciting. With just four episodes under its belt, Soundtrack #1 moves quickly, making it difficult for Eun-soo to stand out as anything more than just a good protagonist.

6

Yeo Da-kyung in the married world

Han plays the other woman (again)

In 2020, Han gained a little more popularity with his role in The world of married people. In this series, Ji Seon-u’s life turns upside down when she discovers that her husband is cheating on her. Enraged by her husband’s betrayal, Seon-u decides to ruin her life by revealing her worst secrets to her peers. Seon-u must accept the flaws in her seemingly perfect life and figure out how to move forward. Han plays the so-called other womanYeo Da-kyung.

The character of Da-kyung is definitely another step forward for Han, who has played this type of secret lover before, but not on such a grand scale. Where is Han’s character money flower was also an affair partner, she didn’t play as big of a role in the series overall. On the other hand, Da-kyung in The world of married people is extremely important to the plotand the audience sees how Seong-u’s revenge affects her. Da-kyung is not just a device but a true actor in K-drama history.

5

Another character played by Han with a complex backstory is Jang Hee-jin in the fantasy K-drama, Abyss. In Abyss, two childhood friends, Go Se-yeon and Cha Min, die suddenly in separate incidents. By some miracle, they are brought back to life, but placed in different bodies whose physical appearance is linked to their soul. The friends must figure out how this body swap happened, while coming to terms with their feelings for each other. Han plays Cha Min’s fianceeHee Jin.

At first glance, Hee-jin doesn’t seem to have much going on as Cha Min’s loving yet suspicious fiancee. However, as the series continues, the audience learns that Hee-jin is not only exaggerating her feelings for Cha Min, but she is also hiding a completely false identity.. Hee-jin is not just a random young girl, but the daughter of a legendary surgeon who may be behind Cha Min and Se-yeon’s body swaps. As such, there is a lot to discover about Hee-jin, making her much more interesting than some of Han’s other characters.

4

Kim So-hye in 100 Days My Prince

Han plays a controversial crown princess

The Han character who probably gets into the most drama is Kim So-hye in 100 days my prince. This 2018 historical K-drama follows the crown prince, Lee Yul, who is dissatisfied with his royal life. Luckily for him, he manages to leave everything behind after falling off a cliff and losing his memory. For 100 days, Yul wanders under a new identity, living the life he always wanted, although he doesn’t quite realize it. Han takes on the role of Yul’s wifeSo-hye.

So-hye isn’t Han’s most likable character, but she definitely has a storyline that will keep audiences on edge.

Although Yul and So-hye are husband and wife, they don’t really love each other and postpone the consummation of the marriage. This is one of the most interesting elements of So-hye’s character, as she also tries to avoid her royal duties. However, even more exciting is the other side of her romantic life, which sees her fall in love with her father’s hired killer, and the two conceive a child together. So-hye isn’t Han’s most likable character, but she definitely has a storyline that will keep audiences on edge.

3

Yoo Na-bi still

Han takes on the cynical romantic

However, it is a South Korean television series that explores the complex relationship between two art students, Yoo Na-bi and Park Jae-eon. Despite Yoo Na-bi’s aversion to love and Park Jae-eon’s flirtatious nature, they are attracted to each other through a series of encounters. Han’s most interesting characters come with his most interesting series, and one of them is However. This college romance K-drama follows Yoo Na-bi, a young woman who no longer believes in love after a bad experience with her ex-boyfriend. Na-bi wants to keep dating, but she’s sure she’ll never fall in love again. Of course, her mindset begins to change quickly when she meets Park Jae-eon, a young flirt who is an expert at hiding his strong feelings.

What makes Na-bi so intriguing is the emotional work she does throughout However. Where other Han characters stand out because of the savage circumstances they find themselves in, Na-bi is unique because she is relatable and her experiences matter. Na-bi certainly isn’t the only person in the world to give up on love, and that makes her truly amazing to watch. The public can invest in their fight because it is not too far from reality.

2

Yoon Chae-ok in Gyeongseong Creature

Han is an apocalyptic tracker

Han’s latest K-drama character is definitely one of his best and this is Yoon Chae-ok in Gyeongseong creature. This 2023 Netflix series is set in 1945, during the Japanese occupation of Korea. However, this world is a little different when a pawn shop owner and a woman searching for her missing mother discover a terrifying creature inside a local hospital. The two form a bond and work together to solve this historical science fiction mystery.

Chae-ok is a great character because her story doesn’t depend on anyone else. While Han has played characters who are defined by their relationships with other people, Chae-ok is firmly herself. She is a tracker and detective who is good at her job and clearly talented in other ways. She brings a sense of intelligence and resourcefulness that some of her other characters never do. Ultimately, Chae-ok is a far cry from Han’s more romantic characters, but that’s exactly what makes her more intriguing..

By far Han’s most interesting character is Yoon Ji-woo from My name. Han stars in this series as a young woman who wants revenge on those responsible for her father’s death. As a result, Ji-woo starts working for a local drug ring while also joining the police force. to take down these same criminals. Ji-woo hides his identity and works for several people, all intent on getting the revenge he so desires.

my name It’s an even darker entry from Han, and it definitely makes him stand out. my name It is not just about love or relationships, but is restricted to crime, justice and morality. Ji-woo is just as resourceful as Chae-ok, but she’s even better because of the emotional turmoil she’s going through. It doesn’t just have a physical mission; she is also on a mental journey to come to terms with her father’s death. General, Ji-woo is the best because her story is full of layersand discovering each one makes K-drama better and better.
