There are several leaked characters for Genshin Impact 5.3, which point to what appears to be a fruitful update for players to upgrade their team composition and try out completely new strategies thanks to the abilities provided by these future units. HoYoverse’s action RPG has just entered version 5.2 and, with it, beta testing of version 5.3 has begun, allowing some players to try out the new content. The leaks include details about the long-awaited playable version of Mavuika, for example, as well as gameplay details about Pyro Traveler in Genshin Impact 5.3.
The leaks also showed information about the new world boss and weekly boss that will be added with the patch, going so far as to show images of simulated battles against them. These beta tests are the source of the most accurate leaks, as they come directly from the game itself, rather than analyzing the title’s data and code.. Despite what appears to be an abundance of playable content in version 5.3, the leaks mainly revolve around new playable characters, such as Mavuika in Genshin Impact. The latest leaks highlight all four new characters in the update.
Genshin Impact 5.3 may have four new playable characters
Three of the characters were already expected
While details about version 5.3 have been somewhat fuzzy and unclear until now, beta testing of the upcoming update has provided some clarity on what players can expect and highlights a total of four new playable characters in the patch. According to information from the leaker known as Genshin Intel, Mavuika, Citlali, Pyro Traveler and Lanyan will be the four new playable characters in Genshin Impact 5.3. The leak, which compiles various details about the patch, including new character skins and limited-time events, was shared in a post tagged “Reliable” about Reddit.
Mavuika and Citlali were already the subject of many rumors as the new 5-star characters in version 5.3 and some aspects of their early game kit leaks have been supported by the most recent leaks coming from beta testing. The Pyro Traveler was also expected in version 5.3, as they were unable to unlock resonance with the Pyro upon arriving in Natlan – as such, speculation arose that they would unlock it through completing Natlan’s story arc. Lanyan is the only big surprise, as they weren’t previously mentioned in the 5.3 leaks.
Mavuika’s leaked kit shows she could be a hybrid character in Genshin Impact 5.3
Despite the possibility of working as a sub-DPS, she seems better as a main DPS
While the initial leak only covered the list of new playable characters in the patch, beta testing is revealing several gameplay details about each of these units. Mavuika, Natlan’s Pyro Archon, looks like she will operate as a hybrid DPS and sub-DPS unit in team compositions. As seen in World of honey huntersthis is due to his dual stance when using his Elemental Skill. If players use her supposed ability, Mavuika will create Rings of Searing Radiance, which follow the active character and attack nearby enemies at fixed intervals, dealing Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG in Genshin Impact.
Alternatively, if players maintain her ability, she enters a special state and can ride the Flamestrider motorcycle with increased movement speed. With it, Mavuika can also fly and cross different terrains. Her normal, charged, and dive attacks are also converted to deal Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG to enemies – in the wake of Flamestrider, Mavuika also deals Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG to enemies in her path. Players can switch between their forms using Elemental Skill while in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state.
With her touch ability, she can apparently operate as a sub-DPS Pyro off the field. Alternatively, Mavuika’s mount in Genshin Impactactivated by her hold ability, would make her a main DPS.
Mavuika’s leaked Burst is not charged by Energy, but by the Fighting Spirit mechanic. She can accumulate this when Nightsoul Points are consumed by party members in combat or when party members’ normal attacks hit opponents. When she has at least 50% Fighting Spirit, Mavuika can release her Burst, which grants her 10 Nightsoul points and makes her leap into the air with her Flamestrider and perform a ground slash, dealing AoE Pyro DMG. She also enters the Crucible of Death and Life state, which allows her actions to not consume Nightsoul points and grants her greater resistance to interruption.
Citlali’s leaked kit in Genshin Impact 5.3 suggests she is a shieldmaiden and support
The cryogenic unit can apparently protect its allies
As previously predicted by the Citlali leaks in Genshin Impact 5.3, the new Cryo character can be a shield and support unit in team compositions. According to his leaked kit in World of honey hunters, Citlali’s ability deals an instance of Nightsoul-aligned AoE Cryo DMG and summons a shield that scales to her Elemental Mastery. The shield absorbs Cryo DMG with 250% accuracy, and if she has at least 50 Nightsoul points, Itzpapa enters the field in the Opal Fire state, continuously dealing Nightsoul-aligned AoE Cryo DMG.
Additionally, with her leaked Burst, Citlali can summon a field that deals Nightsoul-aligned AoE Cryo DMG. An important part of his kit is in one of his leaked passive abilities: When Citlali is in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state and after an ally triggers a Frozen or Melt reaction, the Pyro and Hydro RES of opponents affected by the reaction are reduced by 20% for 12 seconds. As such, she appears to operate as Cryo support and shieldmaiden for her team in Genshin Impact.
Leaked Pyro Traveler kit confirms they are a sub-DPS of Pyro in Genshin Impact
The character deals damage outside the field
Leaks about the Pyro Traveler kit confirm previous rumors that they would be a sub-DPS. As seen in a leak shared on RedditPyro Traveler’s leaked ability also has two forms. The tap version has them summon a Blazing Threshold, which follows the active character and deals Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG when near enemies. The hold version has them summon a Scorching Threshold, which also follows the active character and deals DMG to opponents. Furthermore, Scorching Threshold deals Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG as coordinated attacks every three seconds in Genshin Impact.
His leaked Elemental Burst is said to deal Nightsoul-aligned AoE Pyro DMG to enemies. Through your hollow passive, When the active character with Burning Threshold or Scorching Threshold triggers Burn, Vaporize, Melt, Overloaded, Burn, a Pyro Whirlwind, or a Pyro Crystallization Reaction, the Traveler recovers Energy. They can also recover more energy when allies activate a Nightsoul Burst.
Leaked Lanyan Kit in Genshin Impact 5.3 Tips for an Anemo Support Unit
The character can supposedly provide a shield
As shown by World of honey huntersLanyan will be a 4-star Anemo character who will use a catalyst in battle, represented by circular blades. Like Citlali, Lanyan is expected to be a protector and supporter. With your skill leaked, she creates a shield for eight seconds, moves forward, attacks the opponent and jumps into the air. From there, using the skill or a normal attack causes her to throw a weapon at an enemy for Anemo DMG. Lanyan’s shield supposedly lowers her ATK stat. By holding the skill, players can attempt to adjust the direction of their run in Genshin Impact.
Lanyan’s Hollow Shield can reportedly undergo elemental conversion when her ability interacts with Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro. Lastly, his Burst creates an area that attracts nearby enemies and objects, dealing multiple instances of AoE Anemo DMG. Because of this, it appears somewhat comparable to sucrose in Genshin Impact. Lanyan should contribute to team compositions as Anemo’s support and squire.
Although the leaks seem extremely reliable, they should still be taken with a grain of salt as they are still highly subject to change – especially when it comes to specific statistics and numbers. However, the next patch could be a very heavy update when it comes to new gameplay possibilities, all unlocked by the four new characters in Genshin Impact 5.3.
