Appears in Alien and Alien: Romulus
Ash (portrayed by Ian Holm) was an Android who was first introduced in Foreignerserving as scientific officer aboard the USCSS Nostromo. Ash’s synthetic status was hidden from the rest of the Nostromo crew due to his secret mission.; to ensure that a Xenomorph was returned to Weyland-Yutani for study and use in their biological weapons division. However, Ash’s nature is revealed when Ripley becomes suspicious of his inability to provide useful information, and an ensuing fight leads to his decapitation, revealing his synthetic interior. After detailing his twisted interest in the Xenomorph, Ash was deactivated by Ripley and incinerated by Parker.
However, this original character apparently returned in Alien: Romulus and fans divided. When Rain Carradine and her friends infiltrate the Renaissance to retrieve the cryostasis chambers for the journey to Yvaga III, they encounter a damaged Android known as Rook. Due to Rook being the same synthetic series as Ash, the characters bear a resemblance to the late Ian Holm, although Rook is voiced by Daniel Betts. Therefore, while Ash doesn’t technically appear in both Foreigner and Alien: Romulustheir resemblance and personality make as Rook also wants to bring the Xenomorph back to the company.

Bishop
Appears in Aliens and Alien 3
All Foreigner film has an Android, and for Aliens and Aliens 3this Android was Bishop. As part of the combat unit sent to investigate the loss of contact from the LV-426 Hadley’s Hope colony, Bishop helped Ripley defeat the Xenomorphs in Aliens. Played by Lance Henriksen, Bishop had a good relationship with the Marines on the USS Sulaco, but Ripley remained wary of the open synthetic due to her experiences with Ash. However, during the mission on LV-426, Ripley began to trust Bishop, as he did not share the same motivations, and actually helped Ripley, Newt, and Corporal Hicks survive.
Ripley reactivated Bishop after finding him in the scrapyard, to obtain information from the black box recorder, but his sad state caused Android to request its own deactivation.
Bishop’s help did not come without sacrifice, as he was violently split in two by the Xenomorph Queen at the end of Aliens. This meant that when the hypersleep bay crashed on Fury 161 in Alien 3Bishop was further damagedand the prison colony considered him irreparable. Ripley reactivated Bishop after finding him in the scrapyard, to obtain information from the black box recorder, but his sad state caused Android to request its own deactivation. Her remains were later recovered by Weyland-Yutani, who arrived to capture Ripley and the Xenomorph, led by Bishop’s designer and image, Michael Bishop.

David
Appears in Prometheus & Alien: Covenant
Michael Fassbender’s David was an original Android built by Sir Peter Weyland and served as the model for the David 8 and Walter models. David was first introduced in Prometheus and demonstrated to have unique creative and emotional characteristics never seen in other Androids. Assigned to the USCSS Prometheus on its mission to LV-223 investigating the origins of humanity and the Engineers, David played an important role in the film. His Weyland-ordered secret experiment on Holloway and fascination with Elizabeth Shaw made him a frightening but intriguing character, exemplified by his return in Alien: Alliance.
After the LV-223 disaster, Shaw and David traveled to the Engineer’s home world, driven by a desire to find answers. However, just like humans, David considered mortal engineers inferior to androids and eradicated them. David’s cruel nature also turned against Shaw as he performed horrific experiments on her in his Xenomorph studies.. When the USCSS Covenant crew arrived, David manipulated and killed them, switching places with the identical Walter and escaping with Daniels. After storing facehugger embryos and revealing his identity to Daniels, many are still wondering what happened to David afterwards Alien: Alliance, since your story is not yet finished.

Salamander
Aliens and Alien 3
As the sole survivor of the Hadley’s Hope xenomorph infestation, Rebecca Jorden (mostly called “Newt”), had a sad story. When Ripley and the Marines were sent to LV-426, they found Newt hiding in the colony’s air vents via his motion tracker. Newt had impressive survival skills, as she was able to stay alive long enough to be rescued despite Xenomorphs constantly patrolling the colony. and his young age. Ripley took on the young girl as a surrogate daughter and rescued her from the Xenomorphs when she was taken, likely due to Ripley missing her own daughter.
Newt’s death in Aliens 3 It was without a doubt one of the saddest moments in the franchise.
After defeating the Xenomorphs, Ripley, Newt, Hicks, and Bishop went into hypersleep. While in hypersleep, Newt’s chamber was melted by a Facehugger’s acidic blood, causing an electrical fire, and the cryosleep chambers fell into an ocean in Fury 161. Unfortunately, due to the hole in his chamber left by the Facehugger’s blood , Newt drowned. Ripley then recovered Newt’s body and had Clemens perform an autopsy to check for a Chestburster.. Newt’s death in Aliens 3 was undoubtedly one of the franchise’s saddest moments, especially after she survived the Hadley’s Hope infestation in Aliens.

Peter Weyland
Prometheus and Alien: Alliance
Although Peter Weyland’s name is mentioned throughout the Foreigner franchise, due to his legacy at the company, his actual screen time is relatively little. Like David, Weyland appears in both Prometheus and Alien: Alliance. Weyland was a billionaire businessman who founded Weyland Corp, which would later merge and become Weyland-Yutani, and the creator of David. In PrometheusWeyland (played by Guy Pierce) financed Elizabeth Shaw’s mission to find her creators, the Engineers, in hopes that they would expand her lifespan, and Weyland even stowaway aboard the USCSS Prometheus into hypersleep to achieve this secret goal.
“There is… nothing…”
“I know. Have a good trip, Mr. Weyland.
– Weyland’s last words to David
When the crew reached LV-223 and woke up the last Engineer, Weyland talked to the alien in hopes of expanding its lifespan. Unfortunately, the Engineer attacked the group, decapitating David, who was translating, and hitting Weyland. Weyland died from injuries to Prometheus at age 101, when David’s dismembered head said goodbye to his “father.“ However, Weyland reappears in Alien: Alliance in the form of a flashback.
As Weyland interviews the Android, David questions his creator and asks why he should serve humanity if the Androids will outlive them.
After David’s activation in the opening scene of Alien: Alliancea slightly younger Weyland talks to David in a sparse, white room. As Weyland interviews the Android, David questions his creator and asks why he should serve humanity if the Androids will outlive them. Weyland does not answer this question, ignoring it. This interaction foreshadows what’s to come Alien: Allianceas David’s unique free-thinking design and Weyland’s inability to answer the question ultimately lead to the Android experiments with the “perfect” Xenomorph.

Ripley
Alien, Aliens, Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection
Ellen Ripley was the face of Foreigner franchise for a long time because Sigourney Weaver’s character appeared in four Foreigner movies in total. First introduced in 1979, Ripley was one of the original crew members of the Nostromo, and her survival of LV-426’s Xenomorph made her the first Final Girl in the Foreigner franchise. This trend would continue throughout the next three films until Alien Resurrectionwhich featured a half-Xenomorph clone of Ripley called Ripley 8, and Your story finally ended as the original Ripley sacrificed herself in Alien 3.
Due to his numerous encounters with the Xenomorph Ripley was widely considered an expert on the alien creatureand that’s why the company sent her back Aliens. Her quick and natural thinking has saved many lives, including her own, and she has made it her mission to ensure that Weyland-Yutani does not get her hands on a Xenomorph, having experienced how dangerous the creature is to humanity. Her connection to the Xenomorph made her such a desirable asset that Alien Resurrection saw Ripley give birth to the Xenomorph Queen and the company experimenting with various clones of Ripley.
Ripley’s legacy is largely due to her continued appearance on Foreigner franchiseand she remains the only character to date to have appeared in four consecutive films. After his linear story came to an end in Alien Resurrectionthe franchise produced an unfinished prequel series following David, as well as an interquel in 2024. Although Sigourney Weaver no longer appears in the franchise, Ripley’s character lives on through Alien tradition and references of female leadership. For example, in the most recent film, Alien: Romulusthe ship Rain boards was experimenting with DNA from the wreckage of the Nostromo of Foreigner.
