Daphne and Simon
Bridgerton – Season 1, Episode 5 – “The Duke and I”
Daphne and Simon Bridgerton the story culminating in the wedding should be a happy occasion, but it’s difficult to enjoy the wedding scene because of the underlying tension. The moment is supposed to be romantic, but between Daphne holding back tears and Simon looking uncomfortable, it’s nothing more than that. Although it’s clear there’s something between them, Daphne’s wedding is not the dazzling, happy event she imagined since childhood.
It’s a shame that Bridgertonof The first big wedding is overshadowed by the fact that the Duke of Hastings doesn’t want to get married, as it changes the overall tone of the show. The only thing that makes the scene a little intimate is Simon taking off Daphne’s glove to put on the ring. Plus, for a pair that’s such a hot topic at Lady Whistledown’s Bridgerton letters, it’s strange that more people don’t find a way to get an invite.

Francesca and João
Bridgerton – Season 3, Episode 8 – “Into The Light”
Francesca’s marriage to John Sterling in Bridgerton It’s simple and sentimental, just like the characters themselves. Although the pair decide not to throw a big, lavish event like many of Francesca’s other siblings, their adorable exchange of vows in the Bridgertons’ living room is perfect. Their wedding is small and attended only by Francesca’s family, Lady Danbury, her brother Marcus and the Modrichs, but the couple are so compelled by each other that they might as well be alone.
Francesca seems so happy, and deservedly so, as she has found someone who will let her play the piano all day and won’t impose any expectations on her.
Francesca’s brief hesitation to kiss her husband in front of her family is sweet and highlights her innocent personality as well. Francesca seems so happy, and deservedly so, as she has found someone who will let her play the piano all day and won’t impose any expectations on her. The moment is not overly dramatic, but rather tender, although it is painful to know that Francesca will soon lose John. Yet, BridgertonMichaela Stirling’s new character will support her.

Edwina and Anthony
Bridgerton – Season 2, Episode 6 – “The Choice”
Anthony’s wedding to Kate takes place off-screen in Bridgerton season 2. However, the older Bridgerton’s failed marriage to his future wife’s sister, Edwina, is quite dramatic. Although Anthony interrupts his wedding, the scene is partly romantic, mainly because he suddenly imagines Kate in Edwina’s place. while the Archbishop begins the ceremony. Fortunately, Edwina finds a match abroad in Bridgerton Season 3, and it is suggested that this is Prince Friedrich from Season 1, although it is not confirmed.
This wedding is very well attended compared to Daphne and Simon’s. Even Queen Charlotte is present, which makes Edwina’s painful process of happiness and her inevitable embarrassment that much harder to watch. However, Violet’s face alone proves that Edwina and Anthony’s marriage doesn’t feel right. His feelings for Kate consume Anthony so much that it’s a surprise he can bring himself to reality long enough to actually leave the church.

George and Charlotte
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story – Season 1, Episode 1 – “Queen To Be”
Many consider King George and Queen Charlotte to be Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story to be the best Bridgerton romance. Even though the two are engaged, it’s clear from their wedding that they both have hope for their future together. George and Charlotte may not start out as a love marriage, but their earlier conversation, when Charlotte tries to climb the garden wall and escape, proves that they are more alike than they expected.
However, this makes it even more impactful as the audience focuses on the reassuring and upbeat facial expressions of the bride, groom, and the king’s court. George’s mother, Princess Augusta, is naturally worried about her son and the king, but even she has a glimmer of hope in her eyes.

Penelope and Colin
Bridgerton – Season 3, Episode 7 – “Joining Of Hands”
Penelope and Colin’s wedding scene contains all the best elements of Bridgerton: true love, happiness, family and drama. Unlike Anthony and Edwina or Daphne and Simon’s weddings, the rest of the Bridgertons are genuinely happy to see their favorite member of the Featherington family marry Colin. The reassuring wave Colin offers to a nervous Penelope across the hall is truly touching. and cements their friendship and romance as a whole.
Portia walking Penelope down the aisle is also a beautiful full-circle moment. After Lord Featherington was killed in Bridgerton In season one, Portia is relieved that her last daughter is finally getting married, but especially to someone who will truly care for her like Colin. It’s clear that Penelope’s panic and guilt are due to her secret identity as Lady Whistledown, and she fears that Colin will change his mind at the last moment and be unable to go through with it.
