Warning: This article contains spoilers for Agatha All Along episode 6, “Familiar By Thy Side.”
One of Loki’s best moments was copied by Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness years earlier Agatha all the time. WandaVision episode 8 revealed that Agatha Harkness was a young MCU witch during the time of the Salem Witch Trials in the 1600s, meaning she has been alive for over three hundred years. That long life means she’s out there, and that’s been proven in Agatha all the time episode 6, “Familiar By Thy Side,” which saw Billy Maximoff – in his new body – research the powerful witch before joining her coven.
Billy Maximoff’s research into Agatha all the time episode 6 revealed that Agatha Harkness was involved in some major disasters throughout the 20th century, including the sinking of the Titanic in 1912 and the Hindenburg disaster in 1937.. Since acquiring the ability to absorb the power and life force of other witches in Salem, Agatha Harkness has become famous in the witch community as a murderer of her own kind. However, she also became known to the general population thanks to an iconic song by Dolly Parton.
Agatha Harkness was the real “Jolene”
Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” was released in 1973
Hilariously, Agatha all the time Episode 6 also seemed to imply that Agatha Harkness was the woman who inspired Dolly Parton’s legendary 1973 hit “Jolene.” Apparently appearing in surveillance photos from 1972 that show Agatha Harkness being slapped by a young Dolly Parton, the original witch of Salem appears to have used her sexuality, sensuality, and confidence to get what she’s wanted for centuries. While Agatha Harkness as the real Jolene hasn’t been confirmed, this would repeat a brilliant trick pulled off by Tom Hiddleston’s Loki in Phase 4.
Agatha always repeats Loki’s brilliant trick
Loki disguised as a real-world figure in Loki season 1
Back Loki In the first season premiere, ‘Glorious Purpose’, it was revealed that the Asgardian God of Mischief disguised himself as DB Cooper after he lost a bet to Thor. DB Cooper is an epithet given to an unidentified man who hijacked a plane and demanded $200,000 in ransom in 1971 – this equates to about $1.5 million in 2024. The fact that DB Cooper has not been identified means that Loki fits perfectly into the mystery, just as Agatha Harkness did with Jolene in the 1970s, and this is not the only time that the Loki series managed this trick.
Loki The second season saw Eugene Cordero’s TVA employee Casey revealed as originally being a variant of Frank Morris, a real-world prisoner who attempted to escape from Alcatraz in 1962. Morris escaped with two other men by attaching papier-mâché heads to their bodies. beds and escaping with a makeshift raft. The men were never found and are presumed to have drowned during their escape attempt.but Loki suggests they survived. Agatha all the time repeating this trick for Agatha Harkness is another example of how the MCU responds to a real-world mystery that never gets old.
