Valley of the Stars was supposed to only give players one animal as a pet, but one lucky player accidentally got two. The game is a charming life and farming simulator that allows players to meet the residents, take care of the cattle and chickens, discover the secrets behind the valley and, of course, have a pet dog or cat.
After finishing the scene where players get a dog or cat as a pet, Reddit user objective_Rip_2993 They met not one dog, but two. The player thought the second dog would disappear after some time, but appears to have become a permanent resident of his farm.
The two dogs, which the Redditor named Knox and Snooch, look the same, with identical markings. Other players in the comments are saying this is the luckiest type of glitch to get, and wishing they could also have twin dogs running around on their farms.
Fans wish there was a chance to get two pets on the farm
Update 1.6 added the ability to purchase another pet
Valley of the Stars allows players to choose between a dog or a cat as a pet to walk around the farm or indoors. The recently added Valley of the Stars Update 1.6 added the ability to allow players to purchase more pets, so it's no longer so uncommon to have more than one dog or cat on the premises. Still, in a comment on the Reddit post, Super_Daora_Name writes that Concerned Ape, creator of Valley of the Stars, "should make it a resource, there is a small change: you can find a new pet on your farm."
The idea is a little different from being able to buy and choose other pets. Instead, the cat (or dog) distribution system would be at work in the game, giving players the chance to acquire an extra pet that comes onto their property, just like in real life. This would add a fun, random element to a game that already brings joy to many players.
Stardew Valley's flaws aren't always bad
The game has some charming flaws
While other games struggle with game-breaking bugs and glitches, Valley of the Stars players can get the best types of failures. Although ConcernedApe does its best to keep the game as bug-free as possible, some issues sometimes go unnoticed and make their way into players' games.
They tend to be cute at worst and hilarious at best, sometimes leading to the mysterious multiplication of farm animals. Other times, like 404 file found from Reddit discovered, a glitch can cause the player's horse to sell them ice cream. Players love discovering these silly bugs and glitches, which seem to add to the game's charm. Valley of the Stars.
