While fans are excited to see John Stewart come to life in James Gunn's film Flashlights TV show, the same goes for Aaron Pierre's co-stars outside of the DC Universe.
In the recent Mufasa: The Lion King Press Conference, ScreenRant talked to the stars of the new Lion King prequel, including Pierre himself and his two co-stars Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Tiffany Boone, who play Taka and Sarabi, respectively, where Flashlights was briefly mentioned. Although Pierre couldn't say much about the series, Harrison Jr. and Boone had a chance to comment on their DC Universe casting in the conversation belowfirst joking about the secrecy surrounding the role and then expressing enthusiasm for Pierre and his cast:
ScreenRant: Switching gears for a second. Look, I'm really excited for you to play Green Lantern. That's the character when I was a kid, that's how I saw myself on screen. So I'm really happy that they're going with John Stewart. Now, I know you can't talk about Green Lantern, so I'm going to ask you two. What are you excited to see him bring to the role of Green Lantern?
Tiffany Boone: Go on, get us in trouble.
Kelvin Harrison Jr.: We signed NDAs as friends of his.
Tiffany Boone: I'm so excited to see any of these guys take on their next role and do great things. Do you know what I mean? It's just our generation of black actors watching each other grow up and do great things, things always. Every time I see someone reserve something, I don't feel jealous or rivalry. I'm always like, oh, I'm so happy that we're working and people are getting the opportunity. So I'm excited for you.
