Regardless of what Home would be the reboot, it would have to fulfill the promise House made to Thirteen. At the end of HomeIt’s safe to say that the only two characters who knew that House faked his death were Wilson and Foreman. Wilson was the reason House faked his death, as House wanted to be by Wilson’s side during his friend’s final months instead of going to prison. Foreman never got to see House after the fake death, but realized his old boss was still alive after finding House’s hospital ID under his desk.
It’s difficult to theorize what happened to House after Wilson’s death. While some believe that Greg House didn’t live long after losing Wilson, some argue that House would have tried to carry on anyway, based on the near-death experience he had at the end. Assuming House is still alive in the show’s canon, there’s one thing he’ll still have to do – fulfill his promise to Thirteen whenever the time comes. However, it’s unclear how this would work, as House faked his death and left the country.

Would the thirteen still be alive in 2024?
Thirteen were officially diagnosed with Huntington’s disease – a genetic and degenerative disease – at the end of Home season 4. Although the show teased that Thirteen’s life could be extended with the help of Foreman’s experimental drug, it didn’t pan out. In Home season 7, episode 18, “The Dig,” House tells Thirteen that whenever her illness reaches a critical stage, he will kill her if she wants to. Thirteen was just as lonely as House, which is why he made sure he was by his side when the time came. However, Thirteen now believes House is dead, as far as we know.
If a Home If the reboot happens, it would have to resolve what happened to Thirteen and whether Greg ever returned to the US to fulfill his promise. Home ended in 2012, meaning Thirteen would be 43 years old in 2024. However, given his condition, it’s impossible to say whether Thirteen would still be alive if a reboot were to happen. Between going through “13” and never discussing your private life, Thirteen was initially a puzzle for House. However, their relationship evolved into a true friendship that was cemented in season 7 with their return. This was also when House offered to eventually euthanize Thirteen, something she did with her brother, who also had Hungtinton and ended up losing control of his body.
Having House and Thirteen meet again could be a great moment – even if it’s in a flashback set somewhere before 2024.
There are many ways to Home rebooting could work, although none of them were easy to do. HomeThe ending was satisfying enough, despite the bittersweet aspectand there would hardly be any reason to revisit the character of House after Wilson’s death. However, should a reboot happen, having House and Thirteen meet again could be a great moment – even if it’s in a flashback set somewhere before 2024.

What would a home reboot look like?
Dealing with the promise of the Thirteen would be complicated, but that would be the least of the problems a Home restarting would have to do the trick. A show as good as Home It was, it had a very definitive ending that makes it very difficult to pull off any kind of sequel. House giving up his career and life as he knew it in exchange for five more months with Wilson was the most selfless act the show could have written for him. House and Wilson riding off into the sunset was as good as it gets for a series finale.
It’s fun to imagine what happened to House after that and what his life would be like without his papers, license, and Wilson. However, this may not translate well into a new series. Gregory House would never be that doctor from the first eight seasons again, which means one Home the reboot would have to be something very different from the original show. Solving cases at home with a team just doesn’t work after “Everybody Dies,” although revisiting the character in any way would be exciting nonetheless.
