This is what John Leguizamo was able to accomplish as part of the cast of Baz Luhrmann’s film Romeo + Juliet. While films like 10 things I hate about you offer loose adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays in a modern setting, Romeo + Juliet does the same, but maintains the same dialogue as the original play in the story of Romeo, by Leonardo DiCaprio, and Juliet, by Claire Danes, embarking on a forbidden romance.
