Will Smith and Michael Bay Reunite for New Netflix Action Movie 21 Years After Bad Boys 2

Will Smith and Michael Bay are set to reunite for a new action film 21 years after making it Bad Boys 2 together. It was the first time Smith and Bay worked together on an original. Bad boys in 1995, and teamed up again in 2003 to work on a sequel. They haven’t worked together since then. Bad boys the franchise continues under the leadership of Bilal Fallah and Adil El Arbi.

Now a new report from Deadline reports that Smith and Bay will reunite for a new Netflix action film called Fast and freeand Bay is currently in final negotiations to direct. The film’s logline is below:

Fast and free follows a man who wakes up in Tijuana with no memories. As he pieces together his past, he learns that he has lived two lives: one as a crime boss and the other as an undercover CIA agent.

John Hoeber, Erich Hoeber, Chris Bremner and Eric Pearson wrote the project and produced by Kelly McCormick and David Leitch for 87North and Smith. Westbrook executives John Mone and Ryan Shimazaki are also in talks to produce Westbrook after previously working with Smith on Bad Boys: Ride or Die (2024). Other executive producers include STXfilms’ Robert Symonds and Noah Fogelson, as well as Barry Waldman.
