This is echoed in the ratings of the show, with a mixed overall outlook. But even among critics who are not convinced by every aspect of the series, Denial Is recommended overall. This is in large part due to another excellent performance by Blanchett as the lead, with Cuarón writing and directing every episode. Our take on disclaimer

The trend is worth it

Catherine Ravenscroft, played by actress Cate Blanchett, in the denial of Alfonso Cuarón.

The key point of frustration with Denial May be a familiar one: It is a movie stretched to the length of a miniseries. This is a common problem, even as the era of prestige television has begun to decline. But with the combined talent of Blanchett and Cuarón, it’s still worth seeking out the adaptation and accepting some pacing issues here and there because it’s among the best shows on Apple TV+ right now. King adds his voice to a chorus of tempered positive reviews that say the same.
