was one of the most emotional shows of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)

has further enhanced the narrative with the return of Billy Maximoff. Wanda is one of the most tragic characters in the MCU, having lost her parents, her brother, her homeland, her place in the Avengers, and her beloved vision. Until she appeared in WandaVisionShe is already suffering from so much loss, but this series only compounds that grief.

In the eighth and final episode of WandaVisionWanda is facing the reality of her actions at Westview. Although she wasn’t always aware of where the line between reality and her own created fiction blurred, she knowingly held an entire town hostage, and used them to live a fantasy life. This was due to her deep grief to lose vision, the Last in a long line of losses she suffered up to this point in her life. In Westview, she brought her beloved Vision back to life, and even created new life in the form of her two sons, Billy and Tommy.
However, it is her own recreated vision that helps her see both the wrongness of what she has done, but also how her actions are a reflection of her deep love. In one of the MCU’s most thought-provoking and insightful lines, Vision offers the new perspective to Wanda, when He says “What is sorrow, if not love persevering?“This sentiment doesn’t wash away Wanda’s wrongdoing, but it gives a deeper understanding of why she acted like that, and considering that she had the power to bring back her loved ones, she obviously made the choice to do it whatever the cost.

But now, with the revelation that Tin is actually Billy Maximoff in Agatha all alongIt adds another layer of complexity and depth to the quote from Vision. Yes, Wanda has done problematic things, and her way more WandaVision Ends became even darker, but the fact that her son, Billy, was able to escape the bubble in Westview And inhabiting the body of a young recently deceased teenager is an example of how your power manifests itself more intensely than WandaVision even shown. Billy and Tommy were not real children, but somehow, through her deep love for Vision, and her desire to have a family, they became real.
In Westview, she brought her beloved Vision back to life, and even created new life in the form of her two sons, Billy and Tommy.
In this way, Wanda’s persevering love for Vision appears in a way that cannot be taken away, or disappear as the bubble around Westview fades. Her love allowed her child to become realand finds a vessel that can carry him forward. So what came of her deep grief? Not just sorrow, not just death, or chaos, but literally new life as a way to truly preserve your love, and help you through this terrible chapter in your life.

Love wins over the power of an infernal demon
In the comics, the reason Billy and Tommy were born, and the way they remain real, physical parts of reality, is because they were born from an intersection with the devil of the Marvel universe, Mephisto. The deal linked Wanda to this terrible being, and meant that the heritage of Wiccan and Speed, aka Billy and Tommy, was demonic in nature. While this story could have been adapted into the MCU, it’s better that it wasn’t and instead, it was Replaced with something more fitting for the hopeful and bright superheroic MCU.

Wanda’s burning love for her children, and her incredible powers, combined to create new lives. And against all odds, when the bubble bursts, Wanda’s children were able to persevere. Her love literally came to life, and found a way. In any other instance, it would have been impossible, but the power of Chaos magic must have been imbued with spectacular luck, because Wanda was able to bring children into the world, strong, unique and enduring children.
