Below Deck Sailing Yacht Producers Should Have Edited Out Gary King (He’s Ruining the Show)

Gary King returned as first officer in Sailing yacht below deck Season 5, but the producers made a mistake by signing him to another contract. The controversial cast member was involved in a steamy love triangle in Sailing yacht below deck Season 4, causing a rift in her relationship with Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher and former Chief Engineer Colin Macrae. While Daisy is back for the new season, Colin is busy sailing around Fiji on a catamaran. Instead of rehiring Gary, he should have at least been eliminated.

Gary and Daisy have already discussed this Sailing yacht below deck Season 5, with a tearful Daisy demanding more from her friendship with Gary. Although Gary claimed he was also hurt by how things turned out, Daisy expressed that she needed him after her breakup with Colin. They’re already embroiled in power struggles, but luckily for Gary, Daisy looks set to go to war with 22-year-old chef Cloyce Martin after two chaotic dinners. However, Gary is still undoubtedly a main character in the Sailing yacht below deck season 5 cast.

Fans are watching because of Gary’s scandal

He was barely reprimanded after the incident

Gary was accused of sexual misconduct by Bravo makeup artist Samantha Suarez, but he was not fired. In fact, he was barely reprimanded. Samantha claimed that when production asked her to accompany Gary back to his room after filming the confessionals, he engaged in sexual misconduct, including unwanted advances and inappropriate touching. She escaped but was shaken by the incident.

The incident occurred off-camera, and Gary later doubled down, claiming the misconduct never happened and refusing to apologize. Bravo producers faced scrutiny over their handling of the allegations, and withdrawing Gary’s invitation to BravoCon 2023 seemed like a weak attempt to distance themselves from the reality TV star. However, Sailing yacht below deck Season 5 had already been filmed, with Gary continuing his role as director.

Bravo shouldn’t have tried to sweep Gary’s sexual misconduct under the rug.

There was curiosity about how prominent Gary would be in the most recent episode, given the seriousness of the allegations and his troubled past on the show. However, when the cast was announced, Gary did not appear to have been edited. The season’s release took much longer than usual, but Bravo chose not to erase Gary from the Season 5 narrative.

Gary is too much of a main character

Bravo didn’t even try to downplay his role

Gary is still a main character in Sailing yacht below deck Season 5, despite his bad behavior off-screen and in previous seasons. Bravo did nothing but slap Gary in the face after the sexual misconduct incident. They kept it in season 5 and didn’t edit it. Already, Gary’s storyline is at the forefront: His relationship with Daisy, berating lazy and incompetent sailors and even crashing a boat. There could also be some interesting dynamics at play if Chef Cloyce decides to pursue Daisy, as Gary has admitted that he still has feelings for Daisy.

Only three episodes of Below Deck Sailing Yacht have been released so far. Gary’s role may be reduced as the season continues.

It’s unclear whether he will continue to play a leading role as the season progresses, but he will likely continue to be the main character. Parsifal III doesn’t have a large crew, given the small size of a sailing yacht, and there are so many stories to focus on. There’s no way to get Gary off the show, and Bravo producers probably should have canceled the entire season. By the time filming began, it was too late to reduce Gary’s role.

The producers should have interfered more in the editing of the program before the premiere

Now it’s too late

Bravo The producers should have interfered more in the editing, but now it’s too late. They probably realized that in order to edit Gary out, they would have to scrap and re-film the entire season. From a business and entertainment perspective, this makes no sense. Sailing yacht below deck I waited over a year to release the newest seasonand fans’ attention would certainly decrease during this period. Writing off the season as a statement made no financial sense. Although Gary behaved badly, the producers probably couldn’t do much to establish his prominent presence on the show.

Sailing yacht below deck The producers would be smart to focus on life on Parsifal III from Daisy’s perspective and stay away from Gary. Many other new cast members could reach the same level of stardom as Gary. He shouldn’t be invited back to Sailing yacht below deck Season 6, but there is nothing the producers can do about Season 5. Hopefully fans will continue to tune in after Gary leaves.
