Laurent clearly has a lot of special quirks, so it’s unlikely that the Union of Hope nuns think he’s the Messiah solely because of his potential immunity. Actually, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon in the very first episode reveals two important facts about Laurent that are almost as impressive as his immunity. First of all, Isabelle tells Daryl that many years ago, a Buddhist monk predicted a prophecy that stated that Laurent would become the savior of humanity.. In particular, Laurent will protect the world from the zombie outbreak. This is an important story about a little boy, and the show definitely doesn’t take it lightly.

Secondly, the debut episode shows that Laurent can see into the future. At the Abbey, Isabelle shows Daryl a photo Laurent drew of Daryl washing up on the beach, which he drew before Daryl even showed up. So, from the very beginning, it is clear that Laurent is special, and what’s more, the nuns have complete faith in Laurent. The Walking Dead superpowers. Additionally, Laurent’s specialty is only confirmed when Daryl starts talking to him and Laurent reveals that he is incredibly smart and wise beyond his years. Laurent’s mother became infected during childbirth

Now, while Laurent has demonstrated his role as an extremely important character since the very first episode, the second part adds to the mystery of Laurent by implying that he may be immune to the zombie virus. This occurs during a flashback to Isabelle’s life before the apocalypse, as she and her pregnant sister escape Paris. During the trip, Isabelle’s sister, Lily, was bitten by a zombie. This eventually leads to her becoming a full-time walker when she gives birth to Laurent’s baby. This scenario, in which a walker gives birth to a human child, is completely new to the franchise and, as a result, raises a lot of questions.

The biggest question Laurent might have The Walking Dead Origin: Is he immune to the zombie virus? This idea becomes pretty clear after we witness the flashbacks, and while the show doesn’t confirm or deny this scenario, it’s a possibility that’s hard to ignore. If Lily was bitten by a zombie while pregnant and therefore became a walker, it would make sense that the virus would also affect Laurent in the womb. But since Laurent was born a man and not a walker, the virus may have simply been introduced into his biology rather than taking over.. Overall, the situation clearly has biological implications.

Laurent’s potential immunity is a shocking revelation, but it actually makes a lot of sense in the grand scheme of his character. If anything, Laurent’s immunity is the final piece of the puzzle. This is the latest and greatest evidence to support the theory that Laurent may indeed be a savior of sorts.

The Walking Dead never implied that anyone might be immune

Laurent, Daryl and Isabelle in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon

Despite Daryl Dixon hinting at Laurent’s immunity, it is unlikely that the child is actually immune from The Walking Deadvirus. The franchise has never shown any signs of character immunity in the past, and while the television universe is constantly changing and introducing new ideas, Laurent’s invulnerability may seem completely unexpected. The circumstances of Laurent’s birth do provide an explanation for why he may be special, but it feels like after all these years The Walking Dead has no real intention of creating an antidote to the virus, making Laurent’s proposed immunity a potential red herring.

While Laurent’s immunity would be a very interesting turn of events, it could cause unwanted comparisons between The Walking Dead And The Last of Uswhich also centers around the immune nature. Instead, it would be better if most French people believed that Laurent cannot be infected, when in fact he is just as vulnerable as any other character. Daryl Dixon has already proven that Laurent is special, giving people hope and inspirationso making him immune doesn’t seem necessary, and the story of him being just an ordinary survivor is perhaps more compelling than the alternative.

Daryl Dixon’s Season 2 ritual may finally answer the question of whether Laurent is immune

The L’Union ceremony looks set to test Laurent’s supposed immunity

Whether L’Union will be able to host the ceremony or not remains to be seen, but Daryl Dixon Season 2’s ritual may finally prove whether Laurent is truly special. The villainous group wants to test Laurent’s immunity to win over doubtful followers, and plans to do this by staging a ceremony where Laurent will be bitten. Naturally, L’Union expects the child to be unharmed by the bite, but since they have no guarantees, this sounds like a huge gamble. Although Daryl does not know their exact plan, he realizes that L’Union cannot be trusted.

So the main character will most likely try to prevent this ceremony, but if that happens, the spinoff will finally be able to provide some answers regarding Laurent’s immunity. While it would be tragic if the experiment failed and resulted in Laurent’s death, it would be interesting to see it succeed and highlight that Laurent is truly unique, which would add to the drama of the show. Unfortunately, Daryl will likely foil L’Union’s plan before we get a definitive answer about Laurent.but the concept of perverted ritual itself remains intriguing and confirms that Daryl Dixon is one of The Walking Deadbest spin-offs.
