Warning! This article contains spoilers for Joker: Folie à Deux
The end of Joker: Folie à Deux Features a young inmate who plays a pivotal if somewhat controversial role in the DC Elseworlds movie. Joker: Folie à Deux earned decidedly mixed reviews after hitting theaters and is so far struggling to match the unprecedented financial success of its predecessor. Although it has provoked criticism for its slow pacing, it still delivers an undeniably fresh take on the comic book movie genre and Batman movies in general, with Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga providing incredible performances as Arthur Fleck and Lee.
The movie sees Arthur detained in Arkham before and during the trial for his very public crimes. While Joker and Harley Quinn take center stage, the only other confirmed character from DC Comics learning to make an appearance is Harry Lawtey’s Harvey Dent, who is the lead prosecutor as the Assistant DA in Fleck’s trial. At the end of the movie, meanwhile, is another character who not only plays a pivotal role as Fleck’s killer, but has led to multiple theories that he is the “RealJoker still cutting the sides of his mouth with a knife.

Storrie’s involvement in Joker: Folie à Deux Could be considered the actor’s big break considering the lesser known productions in his filmography. Despite the movie receiving a mixed bag of reviews, it’s hard to deny that Storrie made an impression as the psychopathic inmate responsible for drawing a line under the cinematic career of Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck. Still, his actions as Fleck have been bleeding, begging the question of whether he will reappear in the lineup.
Will the young inmate from Joker 2 return?
He may be the “real” Joker but a sequel is unlikely
Since Storrie’s young inmate can be seen giving himself a Joker-style smile by cutting the corners of his mouth, it has left many wondering if he will make a return down the line as the real Joker. Another theory suggests that he portrays a younger version of Heath Ledger’s Joker, Given the distinctive scarring, with the young inmate ready to star in a fleshed-out original story for this version of the character. With that in mind, the young inmate could technically return down the line – but It remains incredibly unlikely.
Arthur Fleck’s death at the end of Joker: Folie à Deux Certainly felt like a line being drawn under the two-film franchise. Moreover, with Joker: Folie à Deux Now struggling at the box office, it remains unlikely that Phillips will want to follow up the movie with another. Moreover, between Matt The Batman trilogy and the DCU’s upcoming live-action Batman franchise, another Joker origin story could only serve to over-stuff the coming years of DC movie offerings. What is more likely is that the violent young inmate may not even survive prison.
