Beatrice developed a revenge plot that came to fruition in what was inside
After leaving the psychiatric institution, Beatrice became trapped in her anger, unable to move on from the traumatic experience of receiving gaslight and hospital. Forbes showed her the body-swapping technology to bond with her, but she immediately devised a revenge plot. She stole Forbes’ body, knowing that he was invited to the pre-wedding at Reuben’s mansion. She can go there, pretending to be Forbes, to take revenge on everyone involved in the college party incident.
Of all the people in the party, Dennis was the obvious primary target since he was the one to make promises, cheat and then call her crazy. However, she also went after Nicky, who took Dennis when he was cheating with Beatrice. She also showed it to Reuben after she found out about his involvement in the afterlife.
It is unclear whether she has any negative feelings towards Brooke and Maya, who are both at the party. Based on the fact that she left Maya in the body she wanted, it seems like there was no malice towards her. The choice may also come from the fact that there aren’t many other options. If all seven of the others survived the night, Beatrice would have more options that could make everyone unhappy. It seems impossible that she planned for Reuben, in Dennis’ body, and Brooke, in Maya’s body, to die because of an irreparable crime.
