Final Fantasy 7 Remake has shown that it’s not afraid to make changes to the original content, and that means we can experience a different ending. Of course, we still have a good chunk of the journey to go before we get to the final battle in part 3. Because of this, we might finally see the realization of at least one interaction that I’ve been hoping to see for 27 years. years.
Warning: This article contains spoilers FF7 Rebirth and Final Fantasy 7.
Part 3 will wrap up the story of FF7 remakecompleting our journey across Gaia with Cloud and his group as they attempt to escape Shinra and stop Sephiroth. Just like the first time, it wasn’t easy for any of the characters, and Renaissance ends shortly after Aerith is again killed by Sephiroth in at least one timeline. Now, heading into part 3, we’re at a place where it’s highly likely that we’ll see differences from the original game, especially with the remake’s frequent use of multiple timelines and showing that it’s possible to jump from one timeline to another. .
Turks should join Cloud’s party
Reno, Rude and More Could Team Up
FF7 remake It changes major story beats and minor details as well, so it’s not a huge stretch to hope and believe that we’re heading towards a section I’ve been waiting for: the Turks joining Cloud’s group for at least a few battles. When we reach the third part of the remake, the group of Turks and Cloud have essentially the same goal. This hasn’t been the case throughout the story, but it’s now clear that dealing with Sephiroth is the highest priority, and this leads to an attempted truce between these parties.
It’s unlikely that the Turks accompanied Cloud for all of part 3, or even a significant portion of it. However, it would make sense for the Turks to help in some battles or a complete chapter. As Sephiroth’s plan would result in the destruction of the world if he were to succeed, the groups confronting him need all the help they can get, especially when Sephiroth’s power and fighting skills are considered. Also, a temporary team-up between Cloud and the Turks seems like the direction even the original game is going, but it never happens.
Even one or two Turks joining the party to help them out a little would make sense, especially since we saw in the first two parts that not every Turk is enthusiastic about the orders they’ve been receiving.
Changing sides for the Turks would be an appropriate decision FF7 remake plot twist in Part 3, especially since I’m tired of constantly being at odds with them when the entire world is in danger of being destroyed to create a single timeline, which probably wouldn’t be a great timeline to live in if Sephiroth is so focused on bringing it to fruition. Even one or two Turks joining the party to help them out a little would make sense, especially since we saw throughout the first two parts that not every Turk is enthusiastic about the orders they are receiving. Helping Cloud may be a relief for some Turks.
The role of the Turks in the FF7 remake
How your orders change from the original game
In the world of Final Fantasy 7the Turks work for Shinra and often impose directives that can be seen as quite evil. They were responsible for making the plate crash in Sector 7 and spent the early part of the game hunting down Avalanche members because their tendency to blow up reactors is very bad for the company. The other main role we see for them is to protect Aerith and try to convince her to return to Shinra with them, as Shinra believes she can lead them to the Promised Land as the last Cetra alive. Now, they are trying to stop Sephiroth.
I always found it strange that when the Turks’ orders change to stop Sephiroth, they are no longer involved with Cloud’s group. It’s possible that there were development or timing reasons why this didn’t happen in the original, and I can’t pretend to be aware of the decisions made by the team. However, it is possible to fix this situation with part 3 of the remake and finally present a better relationship between the Turks and the cloudat least as long as they have a common enemy. After all, everyone will die if Sephiroth succeeds, so working together is in everyone’s best interest.
Zack Fair can unite the Turks and the cloud
He has been an ally of both groups before
One of the biggest change in the remake is Zack Fair being alive and jumping through timelines. As he is associated with the Turks and some members of Cloud’s group, he could act as a liaison to facilitate a temporary alliance between them to work towards common goals. It’s still unclear what kind of role Zack will have, and I’m eager to see how he impacts the story no matter what, but he would be the best ambassador for each group, having worked both for Shinra and against them. I’d say he understands what’s at stake in this battle more than most.
With Sephiroth as the final boss, Zack also has a personal stake in the fight. Before learning about his origins, Sephiroth was the ideal soldier, and Zack looked up to him, seeing him as a hero. As Cloud believes he is Zack, he displays similar feelings during the games. However, Zack is a more vocal character than Cloud, who always seems to be in a fugue state. There are a few moments where Zack encounters Sephiroth in Renaissancebut having Zack help prepare for the final boss and join the fight is a change that I think would be somewhat poetic.
It’s been 27 years and we’ve finally reached a position where the moment I’ve been waiting for in Final Fantasy 7 could come to fruition in the last part of the remake. We have new characters available to participate in this section, and it would make sense to see some new alliances made, even if for a short section. The Turks have been ordered to deal with Sephiroth, and since that’s the same goal as Cloud and his group, I’d love to see them finally work together in Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3.
