As announced by the publisher, Wonderful holiday tales to surprise #1 will feature three stories, featuring the company’s most iconic heroes during the holidays with these inspirational and action-packed stories.
The one-shot will have some amazing art, including Four different covers by Luciano Vecchio and Leonardo Romero, an homage cover by Lee Garbett, and a special hidden gem cover by legendary artists Gil Kane and John Romita. The one-shot will continue Marvel’s long tradition of ending the year with superhero cheer.

Marvel released a sneak peek of the holiday festivities, including unlettered interior pages, and synopses of each fun-filled tale. The Fantastic Four are celebrating the holidays but encounter an unexpected Grinch-like villain set to bring ‘doom’ to the superhero family. The X-Men will also join the family festivities in a flashback story that will call back to classic X-Men stories and share traditions with Kitty Pryde and Nightcrawler. Last but not least, the one-shot will feature fan-favorite wall climbers, Spider-Man Peter Parker and Miles Morales, as they move into action in winter wonderland weather.
These one-shot stories bring an exciting holiday twist to the beloved cast of characters. The solicits for the special showcase a Fantastic Four party filled with fun hero cameos, Kitty Pryde trying to get a restless Wolverine to participate in the Hanukkah festivities, and Peter Parker and Miles Morales crime fighting together instead of taking the night off. Fans will witness their favorite heroes celebrating the season with inspiring and touching holiday stories along with all the special Marvel Comics issues coming this December.
