THE Animal crossing the series featured over 400 different villagers, so it's understandable that some have been lost in the shuffle over the years. Still, longtime fans of the series will likely miss some of the older villagers who haven't appeared in more recent games, such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Some longtime residents never made it into an international version of the game, so players outside of Japan never met them.
These old villagers should return next Animal crossing game, or even just in a new update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe proved last year that Nintendo is willing to add content to a game, even if it's been on the market for a long time. Either way, it would be nice to see these missing villagers back in action.

Belle The Cow has the perfect name and a fun personality
Belle Helped Start Some Resident Design Traditions
Belle is a village cow who appeared in Animal crossing for the GameCube, as well as the original Animal Forest for the N64 that was only released in Japan. As one of the first villagers in the series, Belle helped establish one of the Animal crossingbest traditions: insignificant names. Its name in English is a play on words that refers to the bells that cows wear around their necks, and its name in Japanese means milk. Following these cow references, Belle also wore jeans and had a rustic farmhouse aesthetic inside her home. If Belle has a stereo, she always plays country music.
In addition to her accurate design, Belle is also a kind and bubbly villager, exemplified by her catchphrase “hugs.” It's always nice to have lively villagers around, thanks to their positive vibes and how excited they get about the little things. As both an original character to the series and a fun addition to any villageIt would be nice to see Belle return.

Betty has one of the funniest catchphrases in Animal Crossing
Betty’s “Clucking” Catchphrase Causes Some Funny Lines
Another original villager, Betty the chicken, first appeared in Animal Forest and later in Animal crossing. Betty is a normal villager, so her personality is somewhat simple, although pleasant. Her house in Animal crossing is equally uninteresting. There is no strong theme; instead, it just looks like a basic kitchen with tile floors. That said, Betty deserves to come back because she first introduced one of Animal crossingthe best catchphrases.
Like all the villagers, Betty has a catchphrase that she adds into her dialogue. Unlike many villagers, hers is (possibly unintentionally) hilarious. Betty ends the sentences by saying “clucking”. While this isn't too inappropriate for a chicken, it rhymes with a certain phrase that occasionally makes Betty's lines seem much racier than they should be for a chicken. Animal crossing game. Betty “cackling”The catchphrase was repurposed for the new villager Knox, but it would be nice to see the original chicken back in a new game.

Dozer the bear hibernates all year round
Dozer always looks like he's falling asleep
Dozer is a bear villager who only appeared in Animal Forest, Animal crossingand the Japanese exclusive Animal Forest e+. Dozer's design is unique in many ways, from his bright purple fur to his thick, wavy eyebrows. This lazy bear gets its name from appearing to be constantly sleeping, even when outside. His eyes normally appear open and his mouth is open, as if he has dozed off where he is. Dozer’s catchphrase is just “zzzzz”, giving the impression that he falls asleep again between each line of dialogue.
That's it surprising to see a villager with such a distinct personality and design being abandoned later Animal crossing games. Interestingly, his name appears on the Animal Crossing: New Leaf Prima Guide, which could mean it was planned for that game at some point. However, Dozer has yet to return since the first few games in the series.

Jane may not get the return she deserves
His appearance in Animal Crossing in North America was the best
Appearing in the first two Animal crossing titles, Jane was a snobbish gorilla. In the North American version of Animal crossingJane is a bright purple gorilla who wears lipstick, eye shadow, and a rainbow shirt. Its colorful appearance complements its somewhat agile attitude. His name is potentially a reference to Tarzan Jane characteror the real-life Jane Goodall (although Goodall is most famous for studying chimpanzees, not gorillas).
Although there is a lot to like about Animal crossing version of Jane, her story is a little complicated. She received a recolor in the North American version, a change reminiscent of controversies like the Pokémon Jynx redesign, which could make her reappearance less likely even in the form of her well-done redesign.

Yodel's design deserves an update with better graphics
Yodel's original design didn't look good on the GameCube
Yodel –a lazy gorilla villager – only appeared in the GameCube era of Animal crossing games. His Hawaiian shirt and winter hat were meant to give him a laid-back skater look. Unfortunately, the color of his hat was a little too similar to his face, and it looked like he had a wrinkled, discolored forehead. This robbed Yodel of a lot of visual personality. This could have been easily fixed in later games, but Yodel never got another chance to appear in a new form.
Another reason it would make sense for Yodel to return is that he was an islander. In Animal crossing, Animal Forest+and Animal Forest e+Islanders were special villagers that could only be interacted with by connecting a Game Boy Advance, which allowed players to visit their town's island. Since islands play a much greater role in Animal Crossing: New Horizons game, Yodel seems like the perfect fit for a future game if this theme persists.

Woolio is just a very “cool” sheep
Woolio's design is a funny attempt to be really cool
This colorful sheep villager has one of the funniest early designs Animal crossing games. As Woolio's name implies, he was created to be a nice guy, which is somewhat reflected in his design. Woolio was always meant to be an exaggerated version of a “nice” guy. This, coupled with the fact that his design matches what was cool in 2001, makes his design one of the most ridiculous of all time. Animal crossing.
Woolio is killing it blue brotherssunglasses and a polka dot shirt over pink and purple wool. This mixed with his athlete personality and love of rock music makes him a strange and eclectic combination of elements. Perhaps Woolio's design was considered a little strange or outdated for newer games, but that's exactly why It would be fun to see him return in a future game.

Twirp is a cranky bird who is all business
Twirp's cuteness contrasts with her attitude
Cranky villagers are a great way to spice up a Animal crossing city adding a bit of conflict. Their obnoxious attitudes also contrast with their adorable designs. A great example of this from the beginning Animal crossing games is Twirp. This adorable little blue bird has a permanent frown, a strong attitude, and punctuates his sentence with an aggressive “CHIRP.” He is the perfect little antagonist running around the village getting into fights.
One reason that could explain why Twirp is always in a bad mood is his house. Entering, there is nothing comforting to be seen. Instead, your home looks like a corporate office, complete with a vending machine and fire extinguisher. While working from home can be nice, living in the office seems terrible. It would be fun to see this theme continued in a new Animal crossing game that can take Twirp's killer house design to a new level with new items.

Sue E took snobbery to a new level
Sue E's insults made her an online sensation
Sue E is a villager popular with fans of Animal crossing online thanks to the savage insults she likes to hurl at players. Sue E has a snobbish personality, so players will likely expect some jabs and some sass. However, after YouTuber Jaiden Animations shared a brutal critique of Sue E belittling her villager for having to work for Tom Nook and insulting his financial situation, players fell in love with Sue E's exaggerated lack of charm. Players would probably be happy to see this wild pig back to roast them in future games.
While her English name is a reference to how farmers call their pigs to eat, her Japanese name is much more candid about Sue E's snobbery. Her Japanese name translates to bourgeois. Although originally used to refer to a type of middle class in medieval France, bourgeois was later used to describe aristocrats and the ruling class during the time of the French Revolution and later in Marxist theory. Contemporary slang tends to shorten it to bougie and use it as an insult for pretentious and snobbish people, which is perfect for Sue E.

Lulu would be perfect for the current Animal Crossing theme
Lulu comes from an island
Like Yodel, Lulu was another islander who could only be found by scanning a special card of hers with the Game Boy Advance's e-Reader accessory and connecting it to the GameCube version of the game. Animal Forest e+. Lulu is one of the rarest villagers in the world. Animal crossing series because she only appeared in this one game, and never in any version of the games released outside of Japan. Not only would it be nice if more players could finally meet Lulu, she would also be perfect for Animal crossingcurrent topic.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons focused on customizable islands rather than just a forest village. With the enormous success of New HorizonsIt wouldn't be too surprising if the next Animal crossing game tied to the island theme. When players met Lulu in Animal Forest e+she would be taken to the beach of her island. Bringing her back in the same way could be a fun Easter egg and would also fit with the island theme.

Ganon should return to Animal Crossing
Ganon is not suitable for Animal Crossing, and this is why he is perfect
While most Animal crossingThe abandoned villagers are from older games in the series, there is a popular group of villagers that were abandoned after their first appearance in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. The game Welcome Amiibo update added a collection of characters from Legend of Zelda series that could be obtained using certain Amiibos. While others Zelda villagers like Wolf Link and Epona were fun, Ganon stood out as one of the best.
It was very funny to see the great antagonist of Zelda series transformed into a cute cranky pig. His evil appearance and the seriousness he brings with him from the beginning Zelda series juxtaposes perfectly with the cute world of Animal crossing where the worst thing he can do is argue with the neighbors. Hopefully, future games in the series will bring back Ganon and similar Nintendo collaborations.
