New Genshin Impact 5.2 character banner leaks have me worried about reruns

The youngest Genshin Impact 5.2 character banner leaks have me worried about the rerun units chosen. Version 5.2 is still weeks away from being implemented in HoYoverse’s action RPG, as the title has just entered version 5.1. This is a patch that added more Archon Natlan Quests for players as they help Mavuika fend off the Abyss’s incursion into the Pyro Nation. During version 5.1, players can also pull for Xilonen in Genshin Impactand if they are lucky enough to obtain it, they can use the geographic support unit to substantially increase the team’s power.

Although there is still a lot of content to cover in Version 5.1, beta testing for the next update has already begun and leaks provide information about what will be added in Version 5.2. This includes the extensive description of the Chasca and Ororon game kits, which will apparently change the meta composition of several groups – especially when it comes to exploration. Furthermore, the Genshin Impact The 5.2 character banner leaks predicted a highly anticipated reprise, although new details indicate that the chosen reprise units have been changed once again and it’s looking dire for some players.

While previous leaks indicated that Albedo, Venti, and Klee would be the 5-star reruns featured in version 5.2, a new leak from HomDGCat indicates that this will not be the case. Instead, the leak shared in a post flagged as “Questionable” about Reddit it says Phase 1 banners will feature the debut of Chasca along with a reprise of Lyney, while Phase 2 banners will feature 5-star characters Neuvillette and Zhongli. Additionally, the leak indicates that Ororon, Heizou, and Fischl will be the 4-star characters with the highest drop rates during one of the two banner phases leaked in Genshin Impact 5.2.

The supposed change in character repetition represents a major change in the power level of the characters offered by the banners. Although the characters mainly play different roles in the team compositions. Neuvillette is among the strongest DPS units in the game, while Zhongli stands out as one of the best shields for any type of team composition. Lyney is also an excellent Pyro DPS unit. Meanwhile, Klee and Albedo aren’t as strong as they once were, and Venti doesn’t feel as crucial as the re-displayed characters recently leaked in Genshin Impact5.2. There is still a problem, however.

The lack of a Wriothesley reprise is becoming a problem in Genshin Impact

Cryo DPS is missing from the game

Even though the new leaked repeat characters seem like an update to the previous group mentioned in the leaks, Both rumors share one notable problem: the lack of Wriothesley’s reprise. The 5-star Cryo character was released last year and quickly became one of the strongest and most reliable Cryo units in the game, even surpassing Ganyu’s potential in certain activities. Wriothesley’s ability and proficiency to deal Cryo DMG with his normal and charged attacks – thanks to using a catalyst as a weapon – makes him a great character for quickly triggering elemental reactions on Genshin Impact.

Wriothesley’s first and only banner ran from mid-October to early November last year, and since its debut and limited run, it has yet to be made available for pulls in the gacha system. For reference, Wriothesley debuted in Version 4.1 Phase 2 bannersafter Neuvillette’s debut on the Version 4.1 Phase 1 banners. On the other hand, if the leak is true, this is the second time that Neuvillette will have a reprise since her debut, unlike Wriothelsey who has yet to appear for a second time in Genshin Impactcharacter banners.

Wriothesley’s absence from rerun banners is further noted by releases that occurred after his and have already appeared in reruns. This is the case Furina, which was released in version 4.2, a full patch after Wriothesley, and has since been released again in version 4.7. The same can be said about Chiori, which was released in version 4.5 and is appearing in repeat banners across Genshin Impact 5.1. While HoYoverse is under no obligation to replay Wriothesley, it seems like an odd decision to hold him back considering how popular he is and how many players expressed missing him in 4.1.

Cryo Characters Feel Left Out of Genshin Impact Right Now

Other units were absent from the banners

While the lack of a Wriothesley rep may be the most notable given his power level, it seems like Cryo characters are being left out of the meta as of late. The last 5-star Cryo character to get a replay was Ayaka Kamisato in version 4.3. Additionally, Both Ganyu and Shenhe received new costumes during the 2024 Lantern Rite Festival, but neither has appeared in repeat banners in over a year. It’s unknown why Cryo characters don’t get much time in the spotlight in Natlan, especially considering how strong Melt can be in Natlan. Genshin Impact.

The next major Cryo character to be released is Citlali, who has already been confirmed to have a Cryo Vision. Leaks have mentioned that Citlali is a 5-star character, which could represent a shift towards Elemental Type in the game. Citlali is rumored to launch in version 5.3. For reference, this is the same patch that previews the release of Mavuika, although both claims have not yet been confirmed by the developer. The leaks about Citlali’s abilities in Genshin Impact 5.3 indicate that she will be a Cryo shieldmaiden, similar to Layla.

I hope Wriothesley, Shenhe, and Ganyu appear in repeat banners soon, even if it means changing the leaked banners for version 5.2 once again. The presence of Cryo characters in the game is important, delaying the opportunity to obtain them seems like a waste, especially because of how well they could operate with the Natlan characters. Even so, leaks should be taken with caution, especially when it comes to reprized characters, who are extremely subject to change before the live broadcast. After the Genshin Impact 5.2 in November, we should get confirmation on whether or not Wriothesley will remain absent.
