How Snow White will be different from the original

Snow White changes some key elements

That Snow White picture souvenirs elements from the original 1937 Evil Queen. Her iconic magic mirror is presented and she looks to determine “the fairest of all.” The mirror's newer design is gothic and whimsical, adorned with details but without flashy ornament. It is somewhat similar to the animated 1930s version of the mirror, but is actually more colorless in comparison.

General, Snow White is moving away from its cinematic source material in several important ways. On the one hand, it is changing the title of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to simply Snow White. Although some updates need to be made for modern times, the Snow White trailer shows a mix of new and classic elements. The iconography of the Wicked Witch and her mirror harks back to the original Disney feature film with its striking design.

How Snow White Plans to Mix Practical and CGI Effects

Snow White will feature CGI animals

When Snow White Originally going to include the “magical creatures”, the actors were seen in costume, rather than the CGI figures they are now. Overall, Disney's live-action remake will feature a mix of constructed sets and highly computer-assisted worlds, including CGI animals, forestry elements, and more. This exclusive image appears to be at the practical end of the Snow Whiteset pieces, featuring physically constructed elements, although the mirror arguably needs to have a CGI element to create the face inside it.
