The Sixth Hokage will emerge from retirement
One of the biggest mysteries of the series is why the sixth Hokage hasn't appeared yet. This made sense in part 1 since Naruto and Sasuke were still active and were more than enough to deal with any threat. However, now that they are both out of the picture and the world is in a bigger crisis than ever, Kakashi's leadership and strength are desperately needed. Luckily for fans, Ikemoto is aware of the need to bring Kakashi back in one of his previous interviews, so it won't be long until he returns.
The preparation is already there for him to return. For one, Shikamaru is not yet the official Hokage, and after the Shinju invasion and Boruto's escape from captivity, the Elders warned Shikamaru that there would be consequences, which could mean he could be replaced as Hokage. There is precedent for a former Hokage returning to power, as demonstrated by Hiruzen. Whatever role he takes on, Kakashi's return will shake up the series and be a turning point.

Sarada's Mangekyou Sharingan

Since Sarada awakened the legendary Mangekyo Sharingan at the end of Boruto part 1, fans were very excited to see his eye powers in action for the first time. After being sidelined for most of the first part, this awakening restored hope that she would be more relevant, and sure enough, not only did she and Team 7 receive an increase in screen time, but they are also the main characters of this arc.
