90 Day Fiance Franchise alum Brandon Gibbs is proving to me that he has been a clout chaser the entire time he has been with the franchise. Brandon and his Russian wife, Julia Trubkina, made their first appearance in 90 Day Fiance season 8, which premiered in December 2020. They are currently being featured on 90 Days: The Last Resort Season 2, as they present their, I believe, supposed problems that are disrupting their marriage. Brandon, then 31, was in pest control when fans first met him and lived in his family's home in Dinwidee, Virginia.
Brandon met Julia, then 26, over the phone after his friend met her in South Korea, where Julia was living at the time. Brandon went to Korea to meet Julia and they had an instant connection. Brandon's parents, Ron and Betty Gibbs, have been an integral part of the couple's story over the years and have launched their own following and airtime because of it. Anyway, after watching Brandon on 90 Day Fiance franchise for so long, I'm convinced he was always on the show looking for influence and personal gain.
Brandon and Julia's 90 Day Fiance Journey
Brandon's parents are very involved
90 Day FianceBrandon and Julia initially had problems because Julia did not want to live on Brandon's parents' farm and start their lives as newlyweds there. Julia felt that Ron and Betty had too much say and influence in their lives and that Brandon needed to separate. When the duo appeared in Happily ever after? Season 6, they moved off the farm and into their own home in Richmond, Virginia, where Julia expressed her desire to have a childwhich Brandon thought they weren't ready for.
I also saw Julia's jealousy and propensity for anger highlighted in the couple's original appearance, and in HEA. Julia tried several jobs, including as a personal trainer, but was content with training dogs for a while. When Brandon and Julia were at 90 day diariesJulia wanted to get a job as a dancer at a strip club, an idea Brandon was vehemently against.
Brandon and Julia hadn't appeared on any major network shows in several years, so I was surprised when they were announced as cast members on 90 Days: The Last Resort season 2. Apparently, Julia has changed her mind about wanting a child, but having a child has become of utmost importance to Brandon. Furthermore, Julia and Brandon once boasted about their healthy sex life, but that apparently changed as they stated that their sex life was non-existent.
I heard Brandon say that he thought Julia was more focused on having fun than making progress in the marriage. And I've seen Brandon become uncomfortable with Julia's style and disregard her feelings about how she carries herself. More will be revealed in The last resort as the season unfolds, but I don't think the problems they present are genuine, because Brandon has ulterior motives.
Brandon wants to be an influencer
He's trying to be a content creator
It has become obvious to me that Brandon is using the 90 Day Fiance franchise becomes relevant, and that he continues to use more network appearances to increase his validity. I saw this evidenced by his social media activity. Brandon posts daily on Instagram, where he has 232,000 followers.
Brandon seems to want to be a content creator and influencer, based on the content I've seen him post online and the self-serving promotions he does.
I don't hear Brandon mention his work in pest control anymore and I think he has transitioned his aspirations to a life in the spotlight.
Brandon has an OnlyFans account as well as a Cameo account, which I believe signals his desire to be an influencer and directs followers to his paid content.
Brandon is desperate for influence
Brandon wants fame
Brandão has shared motorcycle stunts, dance videos, and shameless thirst traps on his Instagram page, which I take as signs he wants influence and recognition. I'm realizing that Brandon's motivations for being on the show are less about mending his relationship with Julia and more about staying on TV and being a reality show name. Brandon promotes every episode of 90 Days: The Last Resortwhat it seems to me he cares more about driving traffic for the show to be seen and less about its perception by fanswhich is a basic element 90DF influence seekers like Angela Deem and Jasmine Pineda.
Brandon and Julia are pretending on TV
They are in a happy relationship
The other main reason I think Brandon has always been a clout seeker is because I'm realizing that he and Julia 90 Days: The Last Resort the plot is false. I'm sure Brandon and Julia pretended to continue on screen.
I think Brandon's motivation has been to get more followers so he can be the content creator and social media influencer he wants to be, rather than going back to his day job.
I see 90 Day FianceBrandon and Julia are faking their story because Julia was eager to have children at the beginning of her marriage to Brandon, and she did a complete 180 but didn't mention why. I think she and Brandon created the baby difference narrative to be interesting enough to qualify them for another season. The other point of contention I have with Brandon and also Julia is that they seem perfectly happy in their marriage and the need for couples therapy was not necessary.
Brandon and Julia just finished a European tour together and posted a storm of happy photos. Not only do I know this ruins their plot, but it also diminishes their credibility. Brandon posts more content than Julia, which is why I think he's the brains behind her continued presence on 90 Day Fiance franchise. After The last resort, I don't think TLC should give Brandon the platform to continue misleading viewers and promote their ulterior motives.
