Our opinion on Dexter: Original Sin's record-breaking debut
Will the show have a second season?
Dexter: Original Sin may not be as good as the original show's heyday, but the character and world feel familiar, and the prequel serves as an interesting way back into the story after New blood apparently gave the killer a final farewell. It is not clear whether Dexter: Original sin season two will happen, but the strong start suggests the door may now be open for more.
With Resurrection also on the way, apparently there will be no shortage Dexter content in the coming years. The answer to Dexter's ending in New blood It was a bit of a mess, but Phillips and the franchise's creative team evidently now have the opportunity to try again. Dexter: Original Sin is more concerned with the beginning than the end, and the show's depiction of Dexter's origin story is clearly a success.
