A new buff for Pure Fiction was mentioned in Honkai: Star Trail 3.0 leaks and, based on rumors, developer HoYoverse may be making another push towards using Erudite characters – even if it’s the wrong way. Version 3.0 will be the next big patch for HoYoverse's turn-based RPG. Not only will it introduce three new playable characters, two of which are in the new Path of the Remembrance, but the update will also kick off a new year of story content, now set in the mysterious world of Amphoraus in Honkai: Star Trail.
The content, which includes new maps, a continuation of Trailblaze missions, and more, is expected to be the centerpiece of the upcoming version 3.0 patch. The introduction of Remembrance as a new playable path is also a big deal, as this has been the new path since the game's 2023 release. and should bring new gameplay mechanics to the table. While new playable content will be introduced, it is likely that the developer will also update previously existing content such as daily farming in Honkai: Star Trail 3.0. Now, there have been mentions of a buff to Pure Fiction.
Pure fiction players may notice a buff in Honkai: Star Rail 3.0
Activity bosses will be damaged when minions are defeated, according to a leak
Starting with version 2.8, players who challenge Pure Fiction will be able to notice a buff, according to information provided by the leaker known as HomDGCat. The leak was shared in a post tagged “Reliable” about Redditstating that Pure Fiction will undergo a revamp and that in the second and third waves, When players defeat a minion, the boss will lose a percentage of its maximum HP, and the HP loss has been increased from 2.5% to 3%. According to the leaker, the effect should occur in version 2.8, but will probably continue in Honkai: Star Trail 3.0.
Based on calculations, the number of mobs that need to be defeated to defeat the boss in Pure Fiction has been drastically reduced from 40 to 34. The leaker also claims that this number will likely be lower, as players should also deal damage to the boss with their team compositions, rather than ignoring them completely and focusing solely on the mobs.. This builds on previous leaks about a buff to Erudite in Honkai: Star Trail 2.7, which introduced Grit, an effect that stacks when defeating enemies and allows players to act immediately while enemies take increased damage.
Scholar characters may have their value increased in Honkai: Star Rail Pure Fiction, but they still feel doomed
Units on this path may become stuck in activity
Using Erudite characters in Pure Fiction is a great way to end the activity, especially because of how often minions are fielded instead of stronger elite enemies. With Erudite units, players can quickly dispatch these minions and progress – in boss stages, they will now be able to defeat bosses primarily by defeating minions, making them the perfect character type to use in the activity. DoT (damage over time) characters may also see benefits from this leaked buff in Honkai: Star Trail. Yet the drive toward Scholarship in Pure Fiction also seems to doom them.
While there are notable and powerful Erudite units such as Argenti, characters on this Path are generally limited to Pure Fiction and activities where most enemies are weaker than elites. Because their specialty is dealing damage to multiple targets, their damage output tends to be spread out rather than concentrated, so they often falter when facing tougher opponents and bosses.. Because of this, Erudite characters like Argenti in Honkai: Star Trail have been losing their value over the past year and the buff in Pure Fiction seems to restrict them from activity.
However, there are rumors about a change in Erudite and the Path may soon return. Leaks about The Herta show that she will be a multi-target DPS unit, but that she will also be able to focus her efforts on stronger enemies on the field.. As such, she is expected to eliminate smaller opponents while also dealing more damage to tougher ones. This should make The Herta unique in Honkai: Star Trail 3.0 and later. Additionally, recent bosses have also spawned more minions than ever before, improving the value of Erudite characters as a whole.
At the moment, the future of Erudite is still a mystery, especially since the buff to Pure Fiction appears to curb its use for the activity rather than improving its game-wide presence. This is even more uncertain when you consider that the game's focus for a few months will likely be the development of the Remembrance Path with the introduction of Aglaea and the Remembrance Trailblazer in version 3.0. Although Erudite is not the goal, the future of Honkai: Star Trail It looks brilliant, and only more updates will tell how the Path evolves or decays.
