Taron Egerton proves he would be a worthy action movie hero, successor to Tom Cruise in his new Netflix film Continue. In ContinueEgerton plays Ethan, an airline security guard who is blackmailed by a mysterious man into letting a suitcase containing a dangerous weapon pass through security without checking. In addition to Egerton, the cast of Continue includes Jason Bateman, Sofia Carson, Danielle Deadwyler, Theo Rossi and Dean Norris.
Netflix's new film may start out as a thriller, but the second half of Continue turns into an action film. Instead of turning a blind eye to the suitcase containing a deadly nerve agent called Novachik, Ethan disobeys the Traveler and tries to save the day by alerting the authorities to the threat. Ethan's desire to save the day leads to several action scenarios in the second half of Continue. The intense action in Continue allows Egerton to prove he's an action star on par with Tom Cruise.

While Continue is almost entirely set at Los Angeles International Airport, Egerton's character travels throughout the airport throughout the film. Egerton's amount of running is very noticeable throughout the film, and his running form is very similar to Cruise's. Egerton passes through LAX in Continue can seem very exaggerated at timesas Cruise's run in his films sometimes feels. However, it makes perfect sense, as Egerton's character is literally running to save the lives of hundreds of people.
Although Egerton's character in Continue isn't portrayed as invincible as Cruise in many of his films, he has the same charm.
Cruise has gained a reputation for the way he drives in the Mission: Impossible series and his other action films. Cruise always runs like a man on a mission to save the world (which is usually exactly the case). Continue is one of Taron Egerton's best films and proves that he should be a bigger star. Although he has had a fairly successful career, Egerton must be one of the biggest movie stars in the world. Egerton is perhaps best known for his role in two other critically acclaimed action films, Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kigsman: The Golden Circle. However, It is surprising that the Kingsman films were not a greater launching pad for Egerton's career.

Egerton was celebrated for playing Elton John in the 2019 film Rocketman, but it still feels like he should be cast in more projects. Many fans have expressed their desire to see him play Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universeso maybe Continue it will be the film that convinces Marvel Studios to give him the role. Regardless, Egerton's upcoming films are even more exciting after the success of Continue.
