Thematically, Dog Man appears to focus on teamwork and using all of the different skills of the supa teammates to overcome supa obstacles.
Another interesting aspect of the trailer explains that players will “Fight old enemies”, and then shows the silhouette of a six-armed villain on the screen. Fans of Dog Man the franchise may recognize this character as the infamous Cruda version of the deceitful villain Grandpa who is constantly giving Dogman and the Supa Buddies a hard time. There’s no doubt that Crud will appear in at least one of the epic boss battles that will be included in the Dog Man: Mission Impossible.

Gameplay will revolve around the concept of teamwork, and players will need to use characters’ abilities and gadgets in clever ways.
Each of the three characters has some confirmed abilities. Li’l Petey may look like a lithe, sassy cat, but he’s also has the ability to hack gadgets and fit into very small places. Use the 80-HD to push heavy objects or jump long distances, or equip it with the grappling hook device to swing from platform to platform. And then there’s Dog Man, whose powers include digging deep and fast underground and gliding through the air. to cross to distant platforms.
There is also the shadowy figure lurking around the trailer in the background who happens to be holding a key. Most likely, this will be the main antagonist in Dog Man: Mission Unthinkable, whereas the central plot involves chasing the supa villain who stole the key to the city. Based on the shape of the silhouette, It’s possible this is the sneaky, mischievous Piggy, the main evildoer of children’s books? Fans will have to wait until the game finally releases in December to know for sure.
Other familiar enemies from the books are also there, such as the elusive robot cheesesteak sandwich, Supa-Mecha Philly, which appeared in the fourth book of the series, Dog Man and Cat Child. There will also be eight locations specifically taken from the iconic Dog Man universe, such as City Hall and the Giant Marshmallow Factory. Overall, this silly, authentically designed puzzle platformer looks like a promising adaptation of a beloved children’s literary series that families will actually enjoy playing together.
