Notice! This post contains SPOILERS for Creature Commandos episode 4Creature Commands Episode 4 features several exciting Easter eggs and features, many of which connect to the greater DCU in some important ways. While the focus of this new chapter is on Weasel's (Sean Gunn) past and origins, it also awaits a very dark future. As such, there are some really cool character debuts and references to DC Comics, as well as the new DC Universe that is just beginning.
As seen in Creature Commands episode 3, Task Force M successfully took down Amazonian witch Circe (Anya Chalotra), only to learn that they had just doomed the world by stopping her from killing Princess Ilana Rotovic (Maria Bakalova). Now, Creature Commands largely takes place in Belle Reve, before Amanda Waller gives her monsters new orders to go back to Pokolistan and do exactly what they just stopped Circe from doing. With that in mind, here are the biggest Easter eggs and references we found in Creature Commands episode 4.

John Economos of Task Force X
John's injuries are from the first season of Peacemaker
Having been featured in both years of 2021 The Suicide Squad and 2022 Peacemaker In the first season, John Economos (Steve Agee) of Task Force X is introduced working at Belle Reve. Shown trying to fend off Weasel's lawyer, Economos is using a crutch, although the lawyer doesn't believe his claim that he injured his leg while fighting off an alien invasion. This is a reference to the events of Peacemaker season 1.

Weasel's lawyer, Elizabeth Bates
Voiced by Linda Cardellini

Weasel's lawyer is Elizabeth Bates, an original DC Comics character who first appeared in 1940. Hit Comics #4. She is also voiced by Linda Cardellini, who voiced Lyla in the James Gunn film. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and played Hawkeye's wife Laura in the MCU as well.

Maleficent, Hocus Pocus, Glinda
All Kinds of Witch References for Circe
With Circe in custody at Belle Reve, several references and jokes about witches are made at her expense. Firstly, Amanda says that they are accusing Circe of “sorceress of the first degree and Maleficent of the second degree.” Economos then agrees with “and Bette Midler in that movie of the third degree” to which Flag clarifies that John is talking about the Disney film Hocus Pocus. Later, Waller questions why Circe would try to save the world, seeing as how her resume doesn't exactly support the “Glinda the Good Witch routine”, a reference to Wizard of Oz (it is clear, Evil).

“I know it's hip to be a superhero these days”
Confirming several heroes in the DCU
Waller continues to question Circe's altruism, saying that she knows “It's hip to be a superhero these days.” This confirms the existence of other superpowered people in the DCU, such as Superman and more heroes who will soon make their debut in James Gunn and Peter Safran's new DC Universe.

Circe's vision in Creature Commandos episode 4
Full of DCU heroes and villains (cast and unreleased)
Showing Waller the vision she received as a clairvoyant, Circe reveals a dark future that will be unleashed by Ilana if she is not stopped, offering first looks at several DCU characters who have been cast as live-action actors, and even those who they did. t. Here are all the characters and major revelations found in Circe's vision:
- Gorilla Grodd A classic Flash Villain Gorilla Grodd is shown allied with the Pokolistan army that Ilana will apparently gather in the future, likely offering his psionic powers to help her break and control the minds of her enemies.
- Daily Planet The classic Metropolis newspaper where Clark Kent and Lois Lane work can be seen during Ilana's attacks on the city.
- Superman with new logo David Corenswet's Superman can be seen beaten and on a stake above a mountain of skulls in front of several other fallen heroes, complete with the new House of EL logo on his chest.
- Batman – The DCU's Batman is also shown alongside Superman, although an actor has yet to be cast.
- Wonder Woman – Wonder Woman is also shown staked and has not yet been cast.
- Hawkgirl – Hawkgirl will be played by Isabela Merced in 2025 Superman.
- Flash Child Kid Flash appears to be one of the fallen heroes.
- Supergirl Supergirl also appears and will be played in live-action by Millie Alcock in 2026.
- Robin- Batman's sidekick Robin is also shown defeated, and is likely Damian Wayne.
- Peacemaker – John Cena's Peacemaker is shown murdered, his body lying beneath several staked heroes.
- Watchman – Also shown is Vigilante, Peacemaker's partner played by Freddie Stroma.
- Stellar Starfire of the Titans is shown right behind Superman.
- Mister Fantastic – Mister Terrific will also be in 2025 Superman played by Edi Gathegi.
- Death of Superman Torn Cloak – Superman's torn cape is the last thing Amanda Waller sees in the vision, flying in the wind like a mirror to The Death of Superman comic plot.

Jedi Mind Trick
Gotta love a Star Wars reference in the DCU
Visibly and surprisingly shaken, Amanda Waller is clearly shaken by what she saw of Circe. However, Rick Flag claims that the witch must have messed with his mind as a “Jedi mind trick”, referencing Star Wars and a Jedi's ability to influence the mind using the Force. However, Waller is convinced that what she saw was legitimate.

Is Isla McPherson putting together DC's Wonder Woman/Amazon show?
Voiced by Stephanie Beatriz (Setting Paradise Island?)
Calling in an expert, Dr. Isla McPherson is called in to validate what Waller saw. Coming from the comics, the DCU's McPherson is a professor with experience in all things Amazon, and as such confirms the legitimacy of Circe's clairvoyance and her vision of the DCU's dark future. Voiced by Stephanie Beatriz, one wonders if McPherson will be able to debut in live-action soon, considering DC Studios has a Paradise Lost series in development.

Eric's romantic film references
Titanic/When Harry Met Sally
At the end of Creature Commands and after Rick Flag manages to convince Eric Frankenstein that he and the Bride are not romantically involved, the two sit down and talk. After Flag shares his concerns about Ilana and Waller's plans to kill her to prevent a dark future, Eric goes all-in on his and the princess' “love story,” comparing it to what he believes are low-budget romance films. known, as Titanic and When Harry met Sally (hilariously two of the most popular romance movies of all time).
